Dubya tended to get this type of response when he met soldiers. I was part of the backdrop at Ft. Benning when W announced he was deploying 25000 more troops to Iraq, well... whilst he boarded Air Force One. When he got out of the vehicle all the soldiers around me totally lost it and clustered toward the man like groupies. I was kinda sickend by the fanboy-ness going on. That's just me though.
