underwoodammo 0
I have a Saiga 12 19" barrel. I want to move the trigger group forward and put a pistol grip and collapsable buttstock on it. Who does this kind of work and how hard is it to do? All help would be appreciated. Thanks
dssbob 0
Its not hard at all if you have dremmel. In fact, its really easy if you have a mechanical aptitude at all. There a plenty of posts with pics available.
Patriot12 11
I have a Saiga 12 19" barrel. I want to move the trigger group forward and put a pistol grip and collapsable buttstock on it. Who does this kind of work and how hard is it to do? All help would be appreciated. Thanks I want you to try to do it yourself. Follow the instructions: http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/ Also purchase: http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...er-Guard/Detail and http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...ER-TAPCO/Detail You have some choices of pistol grip and stock. This is what I went with: http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...-47-AK47/Detail and http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...LE-STOCK/Detail I also replaced the front hand guard with: http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...dsh-rail/Detail For maximum performance, also get: http://www.kingarmory.com/My_Homepage_Files/Page41.html Improved gas Tappet and http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...inspring/Detail and http://www.mdarms.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1724 Gunfixer plug You will find that conversion is easier than you think, you can do it your self. Let me know if you have any other question. I started out knowing nothing, but got all the info I needed from this site. Edited April 7, 2009 by Patriot12
thirteenllamas 0
Yea, i'm a total noob at guns, but there's a ton of write ups on how to do this conversion and if you check youtube you can find videos on how to do some parts of the conversion so i'm going to attempt it later this week. As soon as i check and make sure i don't have a vodka special. I think it'll give me a better understanding of how the gun works and what the parts inside do. Of course you'll have to find some tools if you don't have them. I'm just going to borrow them from a friend. Anyway good luck with whatever you choose to do.
