Looking for a thread adapter (14x1LH to 5/8x24). My googling skills must be slipping. I want to mount a Battle Comp on my 7.62x39 AK. Any help is appreciated. Hoping to keep it under $35.

I would check with Mark McWillis at TROS. He's one of the foremost adapter manufacturers out there.

That will only work if you locktite the thing in place and don't plan to remove it.

 

When you make a thread adapter with Right Hand threads on one end and Left Hand threads on the other, as you try to tighten one end down, it unscrews the other end.

Yep that is the plan. A buddy recommended something other than locktite though. He said locktite was subject to weakening with heat and recommended something else (can't remember off the top of my head) that requires prolonged soaking in water to weaken its bond.

Rocksett possibly?

 

You can get Locktite high temp up to 400 degrees. Rocksett is rated to 2,000 degrees peak, 700 degrees continuous.
