imarangemaster 315 Posted December 11, 2010 Report Share Posted December 11, 2010 (edited) Came up with a great idea for a better AK cleaning kit, since my Saiga doesn't mount a cleaning rod, and has a folder with no no buttstock trap for the factory one. I picked up a West German G3 cleaning kit in a hard rubber, form fitted cleaning box. It has a small paint brush, pull chain, bore combination brush that works in chambers, and a larger pull brush that is great in the gas tube. I replaced the small oil bottle with the factory kit tube for sight adjuster, pins, and screw driver. I use the Saiga oil bottle full of Ballistol to clean and lube. The nice part is it fits in the accessory pocket of a chest rig, a back pocket, or in this case, one cell of my 6-cell ACE snatch and grab magazine shoulder bag. I have a loaded mag in the weapon, 5 more in the pouches, and the 6th cell has the cleaning kit, oil, and baggie of patches.
