TX-Zen 287 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Share Posted December 21, 2010 Doesn't matter to me, I use whatever is correct for the era of AK that I have (short collar zigzag for the SLR105/83 era, 2 piece for the late eighties and long collar for the 90's onward), but IIRC I believe the zig zag might be the most effective of them all. In practice I don't think the shooter can tell a difference so in the long run the Russians have gone with what works and is probably simplest to produce. Z Quote Link to post Share on other sites
