psl sniper 963
i was going through some of my powder and i came across a half tub of winchester super target that i used to reload .45acp with. well me being the frugal man i am i decided to see what i could do with it. after doing a quick search i found some 12 ga load data at hodgedons loading page for wst. so by using a slug of equal weight ( data was for 1 0z loads) i came up with the following. winchester compression formed hull (aa universal etc) 22 grains of wst waa12 wad winchester 209 primer. and of course a 1 0z slug i used the the lee key hole slug mold, for my slugs, and they crimped quite nicely. velocity is around 1300 fps. not the fastest slug load out there, but a good way to get rid of some powder. use all data at your own risk. RED333 1,025
Look like a good load to me. Ya got a chance to shoot any yet?
psl sniper 963
Look like a good load to me. Ya got a chance to shoot any yet? of course! they are very accurate with a little less kick than the factory loads. still hotter than simply replacing birdshot with a slug 1 0z at 1300 fps is nothing to laugh at! again this is not my preffered load but was more of a way to get some use out of the components at hand. RED333 1,025
I need to get a crone to see what my reloads do. Use 20 grains Green Dot (Alliant), 1oz lee slug. WAA12 wads, Wincheaster hulls, CCI 209M primers. We did shot through a 3/8 thick piece of alu this weekend.
