I had a muzzle brake adaptor with a threaded end to use AK muzzle brakes or flash suppressors. Threaded barrels work better and take an inch off the overall length.
I had the whole assembly fly downrange about 50 yards and had to call a cease fire about seven years ago. After that I used super glue to hold it down and later, had the barrel threaded.

I cut off the front sight sleeve then I had to file down the diameter so I could thread the barrel using a standard die. Don't try to use the die with an oversize barrel, you'll ruin the die and still have to reduce the diameter. I didn't take the barrel out nor did I use a lathe. We clamped the front end in a vise covering the jaws then used the die. Make sure you use a left hand thread. M14x1LH.

You're lucky to have found any ammo. I haven't seen Chinese ammo in years. It works well but it's dirtier than Russian ammo and smells a lot worse.

Will the plastic brake withstand the heat? This is not a problem on shotguns but would be on rifles. Also the plastic has to be tough and impact resistant. The first brakes were machined like steel but the stress concentrations were too high for the material. The design has to be modified to the material to avoid breaking.

I agree with Stryker0946, it's a publicity stunt to get more funding to anti gun causes. They also claim that it came from a southen state to make all gun owners look like rednecks to further smear them. I wouldn't harm nor assist anyone against Bloombooger or the Obamonkey but I would be glad to not have to hear their voices or their anti gun tirades.

I think this isnt really news. The two largest protests in England ever (peaceful, I dont know if they included their violent protests) were to get their guns back. I am afraid they have the same problem we do. No one good runs for office, and everyone votes for schmucks.
The whole problem is, once the guns are gone, they are gone. Are there any instances of people actually getting back their guns?

The British have had this progressive leftist mindset for a longer time than many asshats in this country. This is why they needed American guns to help them during WWII. I remember seeing a movie of postwar England dumping thousands of rifles into the English Channel and they wrote on the crate "to Davy Jones Locker". I'm surprised that Pierse Morgan doesn't go back to his gun free utopia where he came from. Apparently he doesn't want to pay the exorbitant taxes there and wants to take advantage of this country while trying to impose the laws that made his country a shithole.

No charging handle to rip your face off when shooting both sides.The Russian army had a policy that you only shot right handed. I learned of this from friends who came from the former Soviet Union. I am a left hander and can't shoot most bullpups for that reason. I prefer a rifle that can be shot from both shoulders in case I have to make a right handed shot or my left arm is hurt.

I am suspicious of the OOO Industries trying to install a program called Privitize. They can't spell privatize right and I fear malware in the form of viruses, spyware and other programs that may be difficult to remove that can harm your computer.
I would like to get a file just to have it. I don't have a 3D printer and I wouldn't trust shooting anything with a plastic barrel but as an engineer, I would like to see how it works.
Defense Distributed were also forced to remove the ARA-15 lower data from their site.

Let me know whether it works. I don't have a 3D printer and would be hesitant to try shooting something with a plastic barrel.

I personally would like to see more load development for 7.62x39 than a complete overhaul. What i really want from the ak-12 is the rear sight setup. More than likely if they are allowed in and the price comes down ill have one tho lol.
I agree, the open sights leave a lot to be desired. AK owners here can purchase many accessories to copy the modernized AK that are available. Rails, handguards and vertical foregrips are available as are the folding stock or AK collapsible stocks.

Did the chinese think to offer aftermarket mags for this gun or are you stuck with one stock mag? Where there's a will there's a way. If these turn out to be worth a shit, someone will spend a week in their garage with a dremel and some shoe goo to make Saiga mags work.
That's a good question. I remember that a Chinese shotgun which came with one three round and one five round magazine was being sold at Dunham's. Those were the only magazines the buyer would have. This could be the same problem here unless an aftermarket maker decides to produce them in the US which depends on the number of shotguns sold.
I did see one at a local gun shop for $699 and they said they don't take Saiga magazines.

I also had one in January and it was extremely painful. I first thought that it was a cramp in my side then it got worse and I took some pain tablets which I vomited. I then saw some blood in my urine and told my boy to help me get dressed then my daughter drove me to the emergency room. The nurse there said it was a kidney stone and they gave me some pain medicine and anti vomiting drug intravenously. I don't know why anyone would enjoy being doped but it was better than the pain. I went home and it came out two days later. I took some narcotic pain medicine every four hours that night. I felt a soreness in my side for a few days after that and get paranoid every time I feel any soreness in the area which the nurse said was a normal reaction.
It was a result of too much protein so I cut back on meat, chicken and fish. (So much for the Atkins diet). The follow up was to piss in a gallon (4l) jug for 24 hours then send about 3 ounces back to the lab for analysis which said cut back on protein, salt and drink more water.

Way overpriced. Their camping, fishing, and general shooting supplies are neat to check out, but I don't remember actually buying anything there...
I bought a rain suit there and found out that Bass Pro Shop has the same thing for $5 less so I took my receipt back to Dicks and they gave me back the difference plus tax. They're out of ammo and when shipments come in, they're gone within an hour even with a three box limit in Mason, Ohio.

The magazine follower doens't look right. I checked out the Pro Mag site and they make Saiga .223 magazines with the bullet guide molded in if you don't have one in your Saiga.
