Powder and primers I have, from loading other calibers. Just brass, and an appropriate mould for low velocity lead cast bullets. Now to find the rifle, plus the $ to get it.

Deadeye, I reload, would get 308 dies and mould. Just gotta find a rifle somewhere not too incredibly expensive.

Thanks for the replies! I would definately be leaving it stock. As for ammo, a few boxes to get started, then brass and dies. I have a mould that should work, would just need a sizer for what the barrel slugs out to. now to find one that isn't too high. Would be happy with used, too.

I am interested in the Saiga 308 as a main SHTF rifle. The 8 round mags would be sufficient, if available for not a boatload of cash, but I am mainly interested in three things - reliabilty, accuracy, and price/availabilty. i have heard many good things about the Saiga rifles. Thank you for any replies.
