  1. The DD thing is bound to happen! I part bought my Saiga 12C with that expectation. I look at the purchase as an investment and a fun toy. Best part is -- I won't have to pay the $200 stamp when it happens! If you're all really worried about it, stock up now so you have them for resale! :smoke:

  2. i'm not worried about the cost or about that parts count stuff on my 12C (factory) -- i want to get it as close to mil issue as possible and at some point it will be SBS. I just need the info as requested.

(please no lectures on anyones interpretation of how these factory 12C guns are effected by 922® -- i just need the mechanic answers).

    thanks.

  3. Anybody know what the threading is on the externally threaded Saiga 12 chokes? I have a Saiga 12C that I want to trim the barrel on. Problem is then that I lose my choke. EAA sells the chokes for the gun and I thought this might be a workable fix if I could get my barrel threaded.

  4. It's really hard to do a true Saiga 12C copy with the parts available in the U.S. Even if you find yourself the correct Russian buttstock assembly, the latching system on the Saiga 12C is completely different from the AK parts that are available. It seems to me, there are about 100 Saiga 12C shotguns in the country, the rest are "Franken-Conversions." I mean, I don't want to insult anybody here or burst their bubbles (because I have seen some nice conversions here), but what you guys are referring to as "Saiga 12C" builds are really just half measures with a hodge podge of parts. If you wanta true Saiga 12C -- drop the coin to get one.

  5. Can anybody send me a measurement for the outside diameter of the Saiga 12 barrel as close to the receiver as possible? Also, a pic or two with the handguard removed of the same area would be very appreciated. I'm contemplating the possibility of making a rear sight block similiar to the modernized military shotguns.

    Your help is appreciated. Thanks!
