  1. the stock is aluminum though, so it may have looked like it could have been heavy, but i doubt it was. aluminum is pretty light material

maybe heavy is even the wrong word.. like.. really squared off? not rounded it just did not seem all that ergonomic.. but again.. having not handled the weapon.. who knows.. lol could have worked just fine..

also NOT saying everything has to look like an ace stock (for example) there are tons of right ways to do something.. just seems like the handling was a little awkward..

machinist wanted to mill in some 'eagle" stuff , did a fair job with it . Well yeah handling it is awkward , the grip is still a 2x4 . there really is nothing about the DE that I like .

    lol

in that case I think it was done well.. it definitely looked good..

  3. I get that the producers run these shows, but why did they have you pass off training "cheeto" rounds as HEDP?

And the Beretta swap out for the Desert Eagle was a bit shady.

the swap out was explained here:

    http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/70109-stephanie-switches-guns/page__st__30

skimmed the thread and saw she was "injured"? but no real detail...

curious about the desert eagle... why make the stock so bulky? was it something the lady was honestly not even going to shoot all that much? it LOOKED really good.. but from a function standpoint I would think something maybe even tube based as opposed to milled would have been smoother and lighter.. NOT knocking anything.. JUST curious..

also curious about the taser.. could the mount have been streamlined a little more? was there ever a "final production" of that rig?

liked the episode this week.. it was good.. if there was an injury sorry to hear about that.. sucks when people get hurt..

  4. I did go through 20 rounds of Remington walmart bulk bird shot without issue, so i doubt its undergassed. Perhaps its just fine then.

As I was sitting typing my original post, my cat decided to investigate this strange thing on the bed, so I slipped an empty mag in behind him and clicked a picture.

do you own a baby ocelot.. :cat:

  5. TBH, I want to see more Saigas on the show. I know that they're kinda boring compared to a Mk19 or the like, but they're what I cut my gun-mod teeth on.

Bring on a select fire s12 or even better, a select fire compensated s.308. :)

(or get your hands on one of the 30-06s and make everyone on the board envious.)

    interested....

I have no problem with the big bang, TV friendly builds.. as long as you offset it with some good streamlined usable builds.. that way we are all happy.. :smoke:

  6. suggesting that he remove the BHO is akin to telling someone to ditch their rear brake drums because they squeak.. sure it will solve the problem.. but there is NO reason he can not run gun with the BHO..

after the gun cycles.. and you go to shoot and "nothing" happens.. what DOES happen?

    does the trigger pull?

    is it binding?

    is there any noise?

what do you have to do again to make it work..

I am sure there is a logical explanation..

  7. Sorry guys for derailing the thread. Will, you should build a replica of the legit shooting knife. Just want to try to inform the uninformed about the real deal and not the hollywood fake one.

    [sorry will] I would like some info on the "real one" even if I CAN'T own one. maybe make another thread of send some info PM? very interested and appreciate the schooling..[/sorry will}

    lol

  8. Thanks bro , they just told us Season 3 is a "Go" , so I guess it's rolling along :)

request: please do not bolt any more "multi guns" together.. the whole Tri-AR.. quad MG... you know.. we get the idea.. :haha:

besides that the show is definitely kick ass, not a single complaint!!!!

  9. ok.. so where can you get one of those knives with the spring that you are not allowed to have..

ugh, that is a domestic knockoff. Why would you want to shoot your blade you gonna carry spares?

thats not the one I want... lol

as far as its use? there is NONE... more or less would like to have it as a collectible.. I do not plan to wear it on my belt while grocery shopping..

I understand it is gone.. and illegal.. lol just saying it would be a neat thing to come across.. thats all...

  10. I bought one from Tantel as a spare a couple of years ago. I thing I may have paid $50.00. He gets these in every now and then. Give Tantel a try, I bet he will either have one or could get one soon.

Tantal (avtomats-in-action) (http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/) is no longer in business.

I too bought a spare bolt assembly from him, and some other goodies too.

I'll sell the bolt assembly for $500.00, thats a savings of $100.00 on Vladtepes.

you sir are the winner.. :smoke:

You are not a Contributor so you can't sell it here! :haha2:

oh.. right.. sorry about that.. let me edit... lol

I do not have a bolt for sale.. but if I hypothetically did it would be about $600 and could hypothetically be purchased by PMing me..

    :lolol:

Do you get the rest of the gun for free if one buys the bolt carrier, hypothetically?

    ha no...

I keep it so I can do all the things I would like to without fear of damaging the gun & can make two unique builds.. simply swapping the bolt... that was the joke after all.. was never really selling anything to begin with.. certainly not a 12 for 600.. I just bought one at the height of the "omg they might get banned period" and paid upper 700..

I was more or less joking around..
