  1. My mom has 3 chickens. I built a coop for them in less than a day for under a hundred bucks. If you want it pretty it'll cost more. The one I built is simple the lid is hinged and overhangs to keep them dry, and the have an eight by two run attached. During the day they are confined to the run and in the afternoon they get two hours or so of free range. I have butchered probably 20 birds or so and chickens are very easy. There's a few different methods for bleeding them out, when it comes to plucking almost boiling water is your friend. Scald the bird really quick and the feathers will just about fall out.

Oh chickens can swim enough to get to dry land. I wouldn't worry about a pond.

  2. Mancat thank you for the info. I was looking at the CZs but they hold 12 rounds, and that's a no-no in CT.

Max, my camaro was awesome, Kias suck, and what is 22LR? I've never seen that on a shelf before :P

My 91/30 has a beautiful sloppy sponge like trigger. My Nagant revolver has a trigger pull similar to dragging a pallet of bricks through sand.

Its not that I NEED a 9mm carry gun, its more that I just want one. The Rutgers are nice little guns, but anytime I see one in a store its either purple, or has a laser on it and WTF is that for, compensation for having a small "grip"?

  3.

Shit. My fiancees brother works there I'll see if hell drop the price on it for me. Thanks for the input.

Wait a sec... You have a family relation at AIM? What the hell? SHOW SOME LOVE!!! :)

haha sorry no at my LGS. If the triggers is any more horrendous than my nagant I might change out the springs. I didn't get a chance to stop by there today so I'll have to go Saturday. Are there any self defense rounds offered in 9x18 or just ball surplus and bear?
  4. Yeah they look really good hard chromed with wood grips. Bit I want it just to add to the collection of commie stuff I have. Figure it'll be an acceptable back up gun. I'm gonna buy it if I can talk him down to 200 if they have the holster and another mag with it. Pretty sure it was a trade in so I don't know if the previous owner lost em or not. I'm gonna stop when I get out of work and find out.

  5. My LGS has a p64 for sale. Just got my tax return and want to spend it. They have it tagged $259. Is this a reasonable price for one? I see em on gun joker for around $200 but I don't see then as being a proper place to judge a price. I'm buying a gen 4 block 22 from them as well. I might see if they will give me a package deal for the two of them. Fuck wish I had my pistol permit back when they were more common.

  6. I don't see a problem with the coke ad. My grandparents came here from Poland and Germany with their parents and didn't speak English. The vast majority of US citizens have an immigrant background and I don't think its wrong to celebrate that. I've learned quickly in my life that a lot of foreigners can speak English even if just enough to get by. Half my customer base speaks Spanish as a first language but I still sell them parts all day long, if they are here legally and at least try to speak English I have no problem with it. Fuck . I rambled on. Many apologies.

  7. Jack Daniels and Jim beam are my standbys. Have half a bottle of american rare that I drink when. I have the fire pit going. Its very good. Russian standard isn't bad so I have a bottle of that too. I have a bottle of polish bison grass. Has a delicious flavor that mixes really well with store brand apple juice. Motets and other name brands tend to be watered down and don't taste as good mixed. Barenjager is the cycling shit when you have a cold or sore throat. Sweet sticky honey and grain alcohol goodness, also mixes well with beer.

  8. As a word of advice, don't get so fixed on shaving weight, pay more attention to where you put it.

the more you can keep the weight of the gun rearward the less noticeable it will be. Think of it as a lever with a increasing mechanical advantage against you the further away from the center of your body it gets.

the first dead weight you can shave off the end of the barrel is the sleeve hanging off the front sight around the end of your barrel.

the Shield on the gas tube is another good target for removal.

He speaketh the truth. I took the whole fsb off and use the ace bolt on front sight with the OEM handguard and it points as well as an AR now in my opinion. The rails were cool but then I got tired of lifting the extra weight.

Cash money for the apartment me and the other half are getting next month, a dinnerware set, sandwich grill, crockpot. Lots of under ware, bar mixing recipe book, and all the tools for mixing drinks. Nothing overly exciting but it is all gonna get used.

Sounds like you just got married.
Nope. That's two years away I popped the question to her in September. Her family is just very generous. Her Nona did give her a string of pearls to wear o. the big day too. My fiancee will be the first in her generation of that family to get hitched so they are just slightly excited.

Haha can't wait to see what the wedding presents are gonna be. Her little sisters both made about 2gs this summer at their highschool graduation party.
