-
looks like the m1 carbine is way ahead, but what ever you choose enjoy it. then you can always get the vz later

bean, as far as i know my friend only has the under forlder and a norinco sks para model but also needs work.

the vented handguards are from copes distributors

thought id share some pics, finally my first ak purchase. its a mak90 84s .223 i was lucky to have got it for 300 buckaroos
then finally finished her up with some hardware

i would sugget sticking with the 22lr=cheap ammo. so many 22lr rifles to choose from. but if you ever consider a boltaction take a look at cz452. i picked up a cz452fs got for $450, n just got back from the range today and at 50yards this is my best 5 shot group so far. each target 5 shots
my best 5 shot group, next to dime
-
yep nalioth is the man
pistol grip (a2) is from my ar15=had to modify, filled in the gap w/jbweld
you might wanna check out czechpoint-usa.com for all the vz stuff=good prices for accesories
the handguard you see in pic is the stock wood, just drilled holes and painted it w/vht wrinkle effect spray paint
the adapter is from www.stormwerkz.com, i got the straight adapter cause gonna get a red dot later, they also have an offset which is ideal for shootin w/stock iron sights
pics below w/my parts kit, and also looks good w/folding stock

thanks again, just checked out gunbroker out of curiosity all i can say is dang the vzs there went up in price just like the rest of the assault rifles. its was a fun build on the vz, all the time i thought my airsoft picatinny rails were plastic to my surprise its aluminum, ripped it out and put it on my vz, he, he can you say budget build
-

from the factory
at the range w/scope and rest, at 50 yards. my best 5 shot group, top right. ammo
used=cci mini-mag 40grain

bean.223, if your still out there. on my earlier post i said i was leaning towards a cz, well here she is
this also came with the rifle, i gues part of quality control from the factory, cool. but i know once i hook up a scope to her she will shoot tighter groups
-
bean .223, i am on the same boat as you. was seriously thinkin of the 1022, but grown to the liking of the cz452, like above said check out rimfirecentral and go to the cz forums

did prices go up? about 6 years ago during the rifle ban i picked up a 20" heavy barrel bushy for 800 bucks out the door
honestly with all the ar15 to choose from you could pick one up for a good price. the only reason i forked out so much for my 1st rifle is cause of this
-

i have a friend selling a saiga 308, whats interesting about, 16" barrel w/welded brake, left side of receiver markings are interesting, made in russia/GA also has izsmash on it, also has bracket on left side of receiver probably to mount a scope. he had it since early 2000 and the original owner. he also mentioned that when purchased, it came with a pistol grip. anybody have any info on this paticular saiga? should i purchase it?
