  1. Oops...I forgot to mention that you will have cheek-weld problems with this setup. I did add a check piece to the stock to raise my eye position up. The Weaver base for the Saiga/AK is not low mount by any stretch. Pete
  2. It may sound heretical here on this forum, but I got a Weaver base mount from CDNN and discovered that I can slip my AR-15 detachable rear National Match sight right on. Works like a charm!
  3. Thanks for the info. Have a great day.
  4. Sorry for re-asking the question. I called Choate and they say their MAK90/AK47 stock won't fit the Saiga 308. Is this the issue with the small misalignment at the rear of the receiver? (I, like most of us, can live with that.) If so, did you order the stamped or milled receiver version? Again, sorry for re-posting. If it has already been answered, I couldn't find it. Thanks all, Pete
  5. I'm sure this has been asked before, so I apologize in advance. Does anyone know if there exists a Weaver-type rail mount for the Saiga .308? I'm thinking about mounting red-dot optics. BTW - I agree with what I have been reading here- the Saiga .308 is probably the best-kept secret around. If it really gets out, somebody will probably raise prices. Thanks to all, PeteC
