  1. This might be it. Here are two links. The second links has highly detailed pictures.

Looks pretty good. Probably can't do to much to the stock, the way it is made. Unless it is covering metal on the receiver then AR optional buttstocks might be usable. But make some hi cap mags and drums and this could be fun. :killer:

Who knows if this thing is reliable, maybe some Saiga 12 vendors may have another shotgun to mod and have us buy more of their products. :lolol:

Thats the one that was in the AT-12 add. the ad didnt show the stock and after seeing it, Id be less inclined to buy it unless I could have a few stock options. If S-12s are indeed getting cheaper, Id prob add another of those instead.

  2. I searched and didnt find it listed here, but apparently there is a new semi-auto clip fed 12 gauge coming.

New shotgun news page 97 is an ad from American tactical solutions touting their new AT-12. Its an AR-15 12 gauge. detachable carry handle, 20" barrel, comes in black or what looks like mossy cammo. Shoots 2.75 or 3" shells. For $699.95 it comes with 2 5 round mags (one for each length shell) The website My link doesnt have it listed yet but nice to see someone noticed those of us who like this stuff. It wont replace my saiga-12 (nothing will) but it might take up a spot next to it in my safe.

  3. Im guessing that since I have the ghost ring rear sight the chaos extended top rail is out for me. using the standard top rail would prob put the red dot in front of the ghost ring and it would be in the way. I dont mind not using the irons if I have the red dot but didnt want them to interfere with each other and I dont want to remove the Ghost ring, which is why I thought maybe that side mount would be ok. Im a left handed shooter too so appreciate Duke asking about the left handedness of the side mount. sigh

  4. I have primary's side rail mount on my S-12 and it works fine. You can't use the stock iron sights but the HK or Krebs might look over the rail without a red-dot mounted. I have attached a pic of my setup.

Great pic. exactly what I needed to see. does yours have the $29 optional riser on that as well or just the sight and the ak sidemount?

  5. Looked at the primary arms gen2 microdot. Gen 3 aint bad either. Nice for the price. Question for those that have them, any idea if their AK side plate mount fits the S12? AND, would that allow me to use either the red dot or the iron sights (Krebs front and ghost ring rear) if the red dot failed. Or would the red dot just interfere no matter what. I dont have my s12 here so I cant really look at it to determine. I like the Krebs sights, cant miss at 50 yards but having a red dot would help a good bit more if I have the option without having to remove the rear ghost ring.

  6. hey everybody I need some help. I've shot my s12 at 25-50yds. and I have to aim at 11oclock in order to hit bullseye. I have factory iron sights. I'm shooting federal 1610fps slugs. Jus wondering any s12 owners have a range report with slugs at similiar distances. Even with my eotech i still had shoot at 11.

Shooting remington sluggers from wally world at 50 yards, mine seems to shoot where I point it. Maybe more Minutes of torso than "MOA" but its a shotgun at 50 yds

  7. HI GUYS HAPPY NEW YEAR ,ALL THE TIME I SEE PEOPLE LOOKING FOR AMMO;PRICES ETC. THIS SITE IS A COLLECTION OF A NUMBER OF VENDORS, IS UPDATED WEEKLY GIVES PRICE PER ROUND, ALL SPECS ETC CHECK IT OUT I USE IT EXCUSIVLY www.gun deals.com

    HAVE FUN ASTROWRENCH

AMMOENGINE.com is a good one too

  8. No there is not. The AK was not designed that way. If you want it to stay open after the last shot you need to count your rounds and push the BHO button while you are squeezing off the last shot. Then it will stay open.

That said....I have an automatic LRBHO in my S-12. I'm waiting for the machine shop to finish making the parts to be tested, and then mass produced. No I do not have any idea yet on when this will be or how much it will cost. If you must have one right now then get the manual version and install it. Then when mine come out you will have less work to do.

I'll be on that list for sure

  9. Found this on a different forum this morning. I havent heard about it on this one yet. Sorry if its repeat info.

I wonder if this is the type confiscated last month in Columbia when the Bulgy AKs were also taken..

call me naive but what does this mean if we do have one? That we can turn it into full auto somehow?

  10. So then they mean that the police typically use firearms meant only for hunting men? :smoke:

Well isnt that a fuzzy thought from the media. Makes me feel all warm inside.

    Kirk out.

What do they do if they have to shoot a rabid dog?

They use one of the normal self defense guns we have, probably. You know, when they aren't man-hunting.

Article I saw said Mossberg 500

  11. Ive bought a lot of Cameron's stuff and its all very high quality and well made.

I bought his tri rail a few months back and just got around to installing it tonight.

It took all of 5 minutes. Went on easy and fit perfectly. Rock solid and IMO looks great.

At the 4th of July prices you'd be crazy not to buy one. Its made in the USA by a board member

who is catering to our hobby. Hell I might even buy a quad rail just because, Never know I might go for another S12

    once this conversion is done.

If you like the looks of one of the others better, thats a different story, but everthing else being equal Id say the Chaos is the way to go

  12. ^ An expensive day? No kidding. It sounds as though you've got the gun broken in, but you really should have started with the lowest gas setting that would cycle the ammo you were shooting. You start on setting 3 using 9 pellet 00 buck? No, you start on -1 for shells like that. If that doesn't handle it, you go to +1, and then up to 2 or 3, (neither of which should ever be necessary).

I think you spent a lot more on ammo than was necessary to break the gun in. Oh well, it's done and your gun should have no more problems cycling low-brass.

Well thats the thing, It wouldnt cycle on #3 with the high brass so I kept shooting till it did and then stepped down. On #3 with the first 5 or 10 rounds the bolt never moved.

I guess I figured if it was going to FTE on the highest gas setting then there was no point putting it any lower since it would just FTE more on the lower settings. Thought it would be break in better or faster if the bolt at least moved and tried to eject rather than just fire and sit there.

Looking back I should have hand cycled the thing a bunch of times to maybe wear it in a bit. Or did the metal polish thing like a few on here had done.

Maybe mine was xtra tight, dunno but its running well now.

  13. Mine is a 08/28/08 gun 8428*** It "appears" that I have 4 holes in a diamond pattern, however they look like they are only Pre-drilled. As in they dont go through. I tried using a paperclip to see if they were open and they dont appear to be, though the paperclip may be too big.

Dunno, going to take some ammo out and shoot it in stock config this weekend and see what happens.

I have gunfixers plug and will put that in to see if there is any difference. hopefully those holes go through.

It's very easy to check whether the gas ports in your gun are viable. Insert a pick/standard paperclip into the visible ports you've exposed by removing the gas plug, while looking down the barrel from the business end. If you can't see the tool protruding into the barrel and/or encounter obvious resistence to your probings, you've got blocked ports, i.e. non-functional. If that is the case, contact RAAC and they'll make it right.

all I had was a large paperclip and it definitely wouldnt go through any of the holes. Going to get something smaller and see if they are indeed holes or just

    dents.

    UPDATE:

Well before I went shooting I got a dental pick and checked the holes. 2 of the 4 holes WERE open but the paperclip I had was too big. the other two were partially blocked but after 10 min or so of picking at them I got the dental pick through.

I put in my chaos gas puck and gunfixers gas plug.

PUt it on #3 and started with Federal Premium LE 00 Buckshot (2 3/4 9 shot pellets) and 2 3/4 slugs in the stock 5 rnd mag

had 10 of 10 FTEs on the first 10 rounds.

Then ran another 10 through it and had prob 7 FTEs

I continued till I had 0 FTEs on Setting #3 and then turned down to #2 and fired till I had 0 FTEs, then to setting #1 to zero FTEs.

    (took about 80-90 rounds)

Then switched to the AGP 10 rnd mag. Used Remington reduced recoil 2 3/4 8 pellet 00 buckshot.

    Started on #3 then #2 then #1 till I had 0 FTEs

    This took another 30-40 rounds

Then I put in Winchester Super Target XX 2 3/4 1 1/8 oz 8 shot target loads. These were a cheap case I picked up at a gunshop, all low steel

started on #3 and ran 20 rnds with maybe 3 FTEs. next 10 had no FTEs

#2 till it ran with no FTEs (maybe another 20 rnds) then

#1 it had 2 FTE out of 25 rounds. Ran another box of 25 more through it on setting #1 all about as fast as I could pull the trigger and had ZERO FTE

then I ran 5 of each of the 4 types of ammo through the gun rapid fire on Setting #1 and had Zero FTEs. It ran flawlessly.

Im thinkin its broken in and ready to convert. Least I hope so, was an expensive day. :)
