About Me

Born and raised in NorthCentral PA, I bounced around until I landed in Ohio, near Canton and the Football Hall of Fame. I've lived in New Jersey (Atlantic City), the Florida Keys (Key Largo and Tavernier), and multiple locations in Ohio. I am now back in the mountains of NorthCentral PA.

I have played guitar since about 1988 and sing and write songs. Recently had a resurgence in playing, as a coworker bought his son a guitar for Christmas (2008) and then bought two for himself, and he is learning to play. He's asked me for help, and we have been trading info ever since. He, his son, and daughter (who got interested because she wants to best her brother ) will be getting together for some informal lessons from me and hopefully, that will turn into a lot more playing time for me!

Been shooting some form of a gun since I was probably 8 years old, and have branched out a bit into archery. I've always wanted to learn to reload, and in August of 2008, my wife's Uncle Walt taught me the ropes. After a couple great lessons sitting down with a seasoned veteran of the reloading bench and having a fantastic time learning, I bought a Lee Loadmaster, built a great bench, and have been enjoying making my own loads tremendously. I do what I can to help educate people in the proper handling of firearms and teaching them to respect the power that they are holding in their hands. The same coworker that I mentioned above had told me, when I first started working with him, that there was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON that any person should own a handgun. Well, I took him shooting once at an indoor range. Now he owns 2 handguns, bought his son a .22 rifle, his daughter is asking for a .22 rifle, and he LOVES my Saiga. :smoke: Just gotta be patient with some people and show them the error of their ways.

Been a draftsman/designer/engineer for 20 years now... need to find a different way to make a living, although I am currently doing 3D design and I DO like that.

I currently have two fantastic Rottweilers who are outstanding ambassadors for the breed. My female, Tara, is a certified Therapy Dog. I take her to visit nursing homes. My male, Jimmy, is a rescue from North Carolina. He was abused; beaten and burned with cigarettes. If I ever come face to face with the 'man' who did that to him..... Jimmy is a product of a 'back yard breeder', someone who just keeps a female pregnant to sell puppies and has no care for what kind of garbage they produce. Jimmy has severe hip displaysia. He doesn't deserve that kind of pain; his heart is as big as the whole outdoors, but because some asshole wanted an easy buck, Jimmy and his siblings were brought into this world. I will fight BYB's until they put me in the ground. I am as passionate about my dogs as I am my guns and my rights.

I do graphic design as a side business; I create custom vinyl decals, banners, and other custom signage. I'm a small, one-man operation, but I can create some pretty cool designs and graphics, if I do say so myself. I had a job as a designer for a sign company, and liked it so much, I went out and found a 24" vinyl plotter and branched out into my own business. Someday, I would like to make that my full time job but until then, I'll keep drafting.

I have recently branched out in my graphic design biz, and I can now do vinyl heat transfer! I am able to apply graphics to shirts, hats, jackets, sweats, etc.
