You should have posted on Sat. I went to a gun show that had literally 2000 cases of 7.62x39 for $117 a case. Check ammunition to go.com

I am having a hard time finding it for less than 300 a case. Ammo to go is out of anything but corbon, 39.95 for 20 rounds. The last yugo brass was 319 for 1120.

 

I know it sounds like a joke, but it was a "special" that they were having for this show. I never heard anything about it, but I got there about an hour early and was talking to a guy in line. He was there just for that "special" and sure as shit when I got inside, at the end of the display was stacks of 7.62 cases on the ground. People were buying handtruck loads of cases. Sold out in a matter of hours.

 

I didn't buy any. I'm not into that round really, all I have that uses it is an SKS. The only reason I even know the price was how big of a deal the guy in line was making about it and the obvious craze when they opened the doors.

 

That is fucking nuts. I wish they'd do something like that at the gun show around here. That would give me a reason to go.

[Picked up my first s12 last night]

Well I shot it last night for the first time. It worked well. I shot my own low brass reloads that cycled fairly well and I tried the Winchester Walmart cheapie stuff and that cycled good as well. A few FTE's here and there but overall it worked well. I'm sure once it's broken in a little more it'll be even better.

 

 

Use the Federal instead of the Winchester universal. that stuff is known to have problems.
