  1. I would like to buy some AK-74 mag springs. . . but I can't find any for sale. The springs would actually be for 5.45mm AR-15 mags. The springs that come in the mags seem to be too weak, and 5.56mm/.223Rem mag springs don't fit. I have a bunch of '74 mags, but I also have a Tantal, so I don't want to go cutting and bending springs of mags that I need. Anybody have any ideas?
  2. Any reason that an AR-15 magwell conversion made for a Saiga couldn't be made to work on a Bulgarian .223 AK? I found a Bulgy with new-style polymer folding stock, scope rail, and railed handguard for a decent price.
  3. I'd swear that I read somewhere that there's supposed to be a gap between the shoulder of a stock, and the rear end of an AK-47 receiver. Had something to do with recoil. I've done a couple 'net searches, and searched the tech section, and found nothing. Anybody know what this is all about? I've got a new K-Var NATO-length stock, and I want to find out what the deal is before I drill the holes.
