Cool.
Who would have thought that the Chinese would produce a knockoff that is better than the original

It's like the meeting of Smith and Wesson

Super cool. I'm happy to see that you got rid of the side scope plate, those are lame

Safe is up, fire is down. It is in the fire position.
Doh, that's right. So halfway down is enough for the trigger to clear, or do you have to relieve some material to ensure no interference?

I can't believe no one has commented about the short throw selector and the selector stop. I considered everyone's efforts at external stops and came up with the idea of an internal stop. What could be cleaner looking? It isn't quick or easy to do, but it yields a clean look and carries out the smooth feel of the exterior.
That's cool, it wasn't obvious because it looks like it is just partially down. Is there enough engagement surface without it all the way down? ("mostly safe" as opposed to "safe")

I'm guessing around $2,000

It was OWS, and I checked again and it was the sporterized for around $700. Then they had some original AK configuration for around $1,200. It was a few months ago and they all sold out. I don't know what the quantities were
-
One of the bigger companies had some advertised for around $650. If you can get one in good condition for under 500 I think it is a good deal

Hey Veprz don't worry, we got the sarcasm right away

evlb: The reason for adding the RDS was when walking & stalking feral hogs. Estimate 25 - 50 yards running slugs. I was thinking quicker target acquisition with my eyes. Thoughts anyone? Am I over thinking the application?
Pedal: thanks for pointing this out! But HB feels certain I wuill need shins, etc which I do not want to do. I was ready to order the RS AK-301M. Are you guys all in agreement this would not line up without shims?
I would go ahead and get the mount you want and see how it fits. I don't doubt that people have had to do some shimming or other modification to make everything line up, because the AK family of firearms doesn't have a high level of standardization. But see if you get lucky or can mod the mount before you have to resort to drilling out the rivets on your gun

HB:
Will I not be able to attach the AK-301M?
HB was thinking that the Tromix guns had them removed with the holes welded in, most of them probably did. Yours still has the side rail which is rare, I'm assuming for a Tromix gun. With that, you would be all set with any version of a side rail mount
Below is the Carolina Shooters solution rail that fits into the rear sight dove tail and friction locks with set screws. Not sure Evl if this is the exact rail you have seen bent up or if those were a knock off of this. I have a different set up now, but never had issues with durability or zero when I had a red dot on it. To the OP, if you don’t use something like this, IMHO the RS mounts side mounts are about the lowest profile and adjustable mounts out there:
This is better tho, for a red dot
-
Post a picture of where the rear sight usually is, and I'll tell you how to mount a section of picatinny rail on there

Side rails are lame. I would do a scout type mount especially for a red dot. There are several

One idea for a replacement rear sight block integrated with the gas tube:

The Russian Armicon:

It is the Rifle Dynamics stock adapter. It is really a great design because it raises the stock to a level close to the bore axis. It also uses the tang AK for support

Which we know thanks to Distal Radius and his ability to smuggle rifles and stuff into an x-ray lab

Unless they put aluminum in there for reinforcement, but I doubt it. I'm sure the extra step of setting a piece of metal in the form before they mold it is expensive, but it is necessary, so they are foolish. Considering the leverage that a 10 round mag has, coupled with the weight when fully loaded, coupled with the recoil, that plastic lug will eventually snap right off.
And compare that to both the 5 and 8 round Russian mags, that both have the metal
-
The wire part doesn't affect anything, it is the part that contacts your shoulder, and that has enough surface area. So I would go ahead and do it. It will be great, and folders are cool

No, the 930 is good, at least it is auto. Putting it into the pump was the lame thing

You can search "picatinny rail" and there are many sellers of them, you will find different lengths, different mounting hole patters etc.

What disturbed me was the length that I went to in an effort to avoid wasting more of my time and more of the mfg's time. A recap...
Readers are Leaders, Reading is FUNdamental, etc. You get the picture.... read.

Extremely important regarding commitment, payment, and start date of production: Be totally sure you want to commit to buy and do not welch. If you back out or drag your feet sending the funds it could delay the production start date and affect any expected quantity discount that I am able to pass on to those who are serious and prompt. Payment will be expected by September 7, 2016 at the latest or 14 days after the preorder opportunity is closed early. Feedback may be left in this thread for welchers. Don't do it, I want this to be smooth.
Onward, I didn't leave feedback in the thread for all of the welchers. At that point, plenty of time had already been wasted trying to offer something special to the community. I concluded that the word of the community as a whole was worthless or the reading comprehension deficit was far greater than I ever imagined. I have a long list of things to offer the firearm community and some things for BMW enthusiasts, but it won't happen like that again.
Sorry about the welchers bro. Did you have a schematic drawing of it? I didn't know about it. Now I'm curious about what it was

They call it a 26 round shotgun, but that is with Aquila shells, which is moot. So 15 rounds of real ammo, 5 in each tube.

Saiga 12 police, size and material gas puck ?
in Saiga-12
Posted
Also, there are several other after-market pucks available, you don't need to reinvent the wheel.
Does your shotgun have the adjustable gas plug in front or the fixed gas block with the integral front sight?
