  1. I have a Ruger Mini 14 Tactical for sale. This gun has seen fewer than 100 rounds. It is a GBP model, meaning it has an 18 inch barrel rather than the standard 16 inch. GBP models are very rare birds, I was told by the dealer I bought the gun from that they were built as FBI/Borderguard issue guns and the overruns were sold to the public, as such very few are in public hands. The gun has a Hogue OD green rubberized stock and an Ultimak scount 1913 rail mount for optics. The rifle comes with the original stock and handguard, box, and 11 Ruger factory 30 round steel magazines, as well as 2 Ruger factory 20 round magazines. Price is 1650$ for the entire package. I am willing to accept partial trades on Beretta PX4's in 9mm or Glock 17's or 19's.

The rifle is available for FTF sale in the RDU area, NC. I will ship on your dime, please make sure your FFL will accept transfer from an idividual, else I will have to ship thru my FFL and all incured expenses will be added to the total. I will not sell the magazines without the gun.

  2. Jams19991 contacted me a couple weeks back asking to buy a gun off of me. I gave him all my requisite information and he told me he would send a MO. It's been almost two weeks, he hasn't visited the forum since then and I've sent him a couple emails asking for a sitrep, but he won't contact me back.

In any event, seller beware, sucks to be expecting to get money for an item you think is sold, but it never materializes. Too bad Jams19991 isn't a man of his word.

  3. Best stamped AK out there that's "Available"... or at least was... was the Vepr. I had a hunch something like this gun control panic crap would go down so I bought four of them before the election, an x39, a 5.45, an x54R and a 12 gauge. My only regret is not getting a couple more of them. They used to run around 500$ from Centerfire for the intermediate guns, which was actually less than my LGS was charging for WASR-10's. There's a lot of hoopla over getting a square cut Vepr, frankly it's a bunch of bull, slant cut is just fine given modern stock options (like Bonesteel, excellent stocks). They do cost money to convert tho, so if you're opposed to that go with a WASR or a Yugo.

The only AK I have that I would consider "higher" quality than my Veprs is my SLR-101, and even at that there are things I like better about the Veprs. Veprs have thicker barrels than the Bulgarian guns and the quality on the finish and fit is superior to even the Bulgarian rifles. The weight of the guns is the only downside, yes, they are heavy, but once you get used to it it's not that bad.

Around here all AK's are insanely expensive, WASR's are still trading around a grand, Yugo's are well above that.

  4. I have integrated sights on my x39 and standard sights on my 5.45 and 7.62x.54R Vepr's... on the upside, the integrated sights are very nice, they have a finer aperture than normal and it seems like the sight picture almost looks the same. I like the fact that the swing weight is reduced by moving a big chunk of steel further back toward the reciever. On the other hand, it will not fit a standard gas tube, making a lot of handguard options "no-gos". The standard sights allow you to use a lot of standard hand guards, but they have more swing weight. Sight radius is a moot point to me, since I run optics on almost all of my guns, but the standard sights would allow you to upgrade to a tritium front and back post for night sights, which I think is always a useful addition. I use Mepro's on pretty much all of my AK's.

  5. I've got 10 30 round Elander mags up for grabs. Pretty decent steel mags, on par with HK mags. They have stainless steel bodies and white polymer no-tilt followers. They have a black teflon coating that's really easy to insert into the FS2K, which is why I bought them. Two have been inserted into my FS, the rest are virgin and have never been loaded. They feed reliably in the FS, but I've only cycled a mags worth of ammo thru each (5.56 is too hard to come by these days to shoot more).

Asking 250$ shipped for the lot of 10. I'm sure I could get more for them on gunbroker, but right now I need cash to pay back some knife RnD. Paypal (+3% or gift) preferred. Prompt USPS MO also okay.

  6. Excellent condition, mounted and kept in storage but not used by myself. Some light finish wear around the edges but nothing serious. Has a 1MOA dot with a ring in black. Illuminated red dot can be turned on as well for red dot functionality. My favorite optic for the AK platform, it's built to withstand nuclear war.

Asking 320$ shipped, I have the original box and I think the scope cover. Paypal or prompt USPS MO.

  7. All black, brand new, got rid of my SLR and don't need these anymore. 30 round capacity, steel reenforced, lightweight and strong, the works, you all know the deal with these.

Asking price is 450$ shipped for the lot of them. Paypal is good, so is USPS MO. I'm also looking for an AR-15 upper reicever build kit, I need all the little bits and pieces for the upper, I'll give appropriate partial trade credit.

  8. I have a converted Saiga .223 for sale, it's in great condition, only fired about 100 rounds through the gun, she runs like a champ. The gun is set up to use surplus mags and has a bullet guide, I will include 6x translucent circle 10 30 round magazines with the rifle. Furnature on the rifle- it has a Parabellum AKARS rail and dust cover, custom walnut foreend from Rheinland, a US Palm brown battle grip and a US made laminate buttstock. The gun is 922r compliant. I will include the original Saiga rifle foreend and buttstock as well as reciever cover for the rifle. Just so there are no surprises, there is a small area of unpainted reciever where the original trigger guard was before the conversion. I just haven't repainted, this isn't hard to refinish if you have some black paint, I was going to have it duracoated but never got around to it. El-cheapo Tasco sight isn't included.

Asking 1250$ shipped for the rifle and all its respective parts OR 950$ for just the rifle. NOTE: make sure your FFL will accept shipments from an individual, if you can't find one I'll have to ship through my FFL and that cost will be added to the total. I accept personal checks and postal money orders or discreet paypal plus fees.

  9. So I lurk around this board but I've been a long time member. In addition to being a pretty big AK enthusiast, I'm into collecting and making knives. I thought I'd show off my most recent design, the Mark 12, which is an integral framelock. That means the handle is milled out of a single billet of titanium; it's not put together from seperate parts, which yields a strong, light frame with very few parts. The knife has only four screws including the stop pin and pivot, and every part on the knife save for the blade is made of titanium. I mill the rough frames with CNC but I do all of the finishing, contouring, shaping by hand, as well as the blades. Mostly just a hobby-business but it pays for college.

I do these as one-off's, they're all unique, and one of the things I've been playing around with is G10 inlay into titanium. It's obviously been done before, but this is the first knife I've ever done it on. Moonglow also looks really cool in these knives too, which is an acrylic glow in the dark material.
