I was just checking on the Barnaul ammo and it looks as though it only comes 2 and 3/4 length. Will that cycle in my 3in. magazines??

That was the length. I think I can learn a lot in this forum. I'm planning on using my Saiga .410 on coyotes at night with either .00 buck or I might try to get hold of some #3 shot advertised on that guys site you rererred me to. (Russian rifles)

I may be new here but I can't shut up about this great gun. I hear some of you describe the perfect rabbit and squirrel gun and I have to agree. I read others describe the perfect deer gun, (accurate out to 90yrds with slugs) and I have to agree. Now I think it may also be the perfect home defense gun. Here is why. If loaded with .00 buck even a smallframed young girl can easily pull the trigger without much kick and without having to aim perfectly at an attacker. 500ft pounds at 25ft for each of the five lead balls times 4 shots will stop an attacker. No my serial number does not start with 94, it is a 95. It also is stamped on the opposite side Big Bear Arms Dallas Tx if that means anything. I just found that a Scorpion Streamlight like the police use fits perfectly and snugly in the side scope mount. I love this gun.

I PICKED UP ON SOME DISCUSSION IN THIS FORUM PRO AND CON IN REGARD TO THE .410 AS A HOME DEFENSE GUN. I'D LIKE TO PUT IN MY THOUGHTS HERE. YES , MY CHOKE HAS HOLES ALL THE WAY AROUND. NO MARKINGS JUST HOLES (PORTED). IS THIS THE FULL CHOKE THAT IS PORTED LIKE THAT OR ARE THEY ALL PORTED??? I TOO WILL TRY SIGHTING IN WITH AND WITHOUT THE CHOKE AS SOON AS I GET A CHANCE. THANKS FOR THE INPUT.

Im a new member and a new owner of a Saiga .410. I have what appears to be a full choke on the barrel. I purchased a few boxes of .00 buck shot and a couple boxes of slugs to try out. My question is , can I shoot the slugs as well as the .00 buck without removing the choke??? Haven't shot it yet.
