  2. A few special items for the collector...

    [sOLD PENDING FUNDS] One pre-WWII Russian E-tool. This has gone through a LOT - possibly the winter war, possibly the lapland war, Definately WWII, possibly the continuation war and it could have even gone through the Afghanistan war. A pretty rare piece of history - this one has seen a LOT of action and/or use. The edge has been completely sharpened, and has many, many small dings and scars in it's edge - This is the way it came to me. includes canvas belt cover. I took a picture of the worst of the dings, but I've always considered this more of a historical collectors piece than anything. $20 [sOLD PENDING FUNDS]

    [sOLD PENDING FUNDS] Two Russian watches. These are Vostok "Kommandirskie" military watches. One white face [sOLD PENDING FUNDS], one blue metallic face[sOLD PENDING FUNDS]. These are Military issue watches; white for staff officer, blue for navy. Blue navy watch is metallic in color and has a Submarine set in the face. Military heritage is verified by the marking "Zakaz MO CCCP" [ordered by Ministry of defense(mo] of USSR] just below the "6 o clock" position. Both watches run well and keep time. the naval one loses about 30 secs a day, white one loses about 10 secs a day. Both could have thier hands relumed if desired - I didn't because I didn't want to ruin thier military history. I aquired these in Russia years ago and have had them serviced but just don't wear them. I bought these has watches only, as is the rtadition in Russia, and added straps when I got home [so in essense there is no "official" strap for these]. I've heard there were boxes for these but I've never seen one. At any rate, I'm including the straps as seen. $50 each. WHITE FACE SOLD PENDING FUNDS! BLUE FACE [sOLD PENDING FUNDS]!

  3. I have FOUR packages of VZ58 7.62X39 mags for sale.

    Each package is an original Czech leather magazine pouch, which contains four VZ58 maagzines. The pouch and magazines are surplus, so they bear some wear on high spots and edges, occasionally some small rust spots on the followers [easy to clean off, and the rest of the mag is aluminum so no other rust is present]. All is as would be expected of a surplus mag. All are 100% funtionable. All Need cleaning, and have some grease/cosmo in them. These were checked by me and then stored, so they are as I got them. FYI - These do NOT have any USA parts in them - these are straight from the Czech republic. These will work in VZ58's [CZ or Czechpoint], Century VZ2008's, Ohio Ordnance works VZ rifles and clones. These do NOT fit AK's. Leather could probably use a cleaning as well.

    Pictures show the four packages. Last picture shows a representative of what the worst lot looks like. The rest are in better condition.

    I'm asking $50 SHIPPED CONUS per package! FREE SHIPPING! I defy you to find a cheaper deal on four VZ58 mags shipped! If you find it, PM me with a link of who has the cheaper price and I will not only meet it, I'll beat it! I'm that confident you won't find a better price anywhere.

    Payment via Money Order or personal check [held untill cleared]. I ship USPS, with confirmation.

  4. basically, it retains a "normal" AK sighting iron system and has a "no tools required" installation, and should fit every AKM and AK-74 patform out there. zero is retains because the rails is held fore by the sight block, aft by teh trunion, and side to side bu teh over fttig over the receiver edges.

    Not absolutely better, just differant - which is why I was asking around about it.

    I'm going to try to compare it to a TWS dog leg and see if there is any performance differance.

  5. Actually these guys came by our shop looking for help with the design and manufacturing. The proto they had was a little crude. I told them they needed to add the bumps up front to keep them from coming forward and knocking the scope on the upper hand guard. We also incorporated the rear sight to the rail and made it mil spec for them. We drew it out in CAD for them. This was late summer '10. They was looking for someone to help them bring it to market. We offered to manufacture it but they went with another company that supposedly could get it out quickly. All I know is if we were the ones they picked it would have been released months ago... The company they went with was making big promises of gov contracts and such... I tried to tell them they were missing a big boat in the civilian market but they wanted to mess with government red tape instead. I guess that is why it still isn't released...

    They was a nice group of guys but had zero understanding of how design and manufacturing truly works. It is a nice concept though and I wish them the best of luck.

    Hey Mike!

    Thanks for the input. I should have these units in ym ahnd within a few days - less than 4 days at most, and I hope to have more info then. They should be available commerciallt after that they say . They state they have just sold an order "from 5th SF group, from in theater". Again, I ahve no way of substantiating this, but if it is true that sounds promising. THey are going to have a stiff competition in the Texas Weapon System dog elg rail I think, but I do liek the "traditional" AK rear sight that is built in. We'll see what happens.

    I'll try to post some after thoughts once I've had a chance to mount it on a rifle and give it a try.

  6. Found another AK rail system that looks very, very easy to install, easy on an off - appears very similar to the dog leg system, but simplified. comes with a top cover so you can swithc back adn forth betwen the rail and standard AK within a couple minnutes just by changin gthe sight leaf. Spoke with the company, and they claim they had this idea first, and have shipped units to Iraq for Iraqi police and military units, as well as have a bunch sold to the Indian army for thier rifle. Not sure what to think about all that though. At any rate, kind of a differant take on it - what does everyone think? I thought I'd pass t on for everyone to inspect;

    anyone have any ideas, input or thoughts about this?

  7. depends upon the size of your buffer tube. If you have a commercial tube, then you need to buy the commercial size. If you have a milspec tube then likewise. Differant makers use differant size tubes. who makes your gun?

  8. Actually, there is a fundamental problem with this entire thing;

    the BATFE did NOT come and take away streetsweepers - there was a grace period where you send in your paperwork and got a FREE tax stamp out of it, provided itwas legal in your area - NO cleo sign off required, no $$$ required. FREE. Now the USAS I don;t belive was ever imported in a semi that I have seen, or if it was it must have been tiny numbers, so on that I'm unsure. But I cansay FOR CERTAIN that I know 3 people who OWN registered street sweepers that they owned BEFORE they were a DD, and got a FREE tax stamp out of the mess.

    so every take a DEEP breath - IF, and that's IF, thye made it a DD, you get to keep it, you just have to register it.

  9. ALL SOLD! THANKS!

    Several interesting magazines for sale. All magazines are surplus, and do show sign of use. They are not abused and will all function 100% - I have checked them all thoroughly. 10. I absolutely LVOE my Red JAcket saiga-12.

    I have nearly 1K rounds through and haven't cleaned it ONCE. I Literally pulled it out of the box and started shooting it immediately, and I just keep shooting it every day. I haven't had a single FTF or FTE yet - flawless! At first I just didn't clean it knowing I was going to shoot it again tomarrow, but now I'm sort of curious to see how far/long I can let it go - I will say it looks pretty hairy in there when I look under the dst cover, yet it's still running like a top! I couldn't recomend Red Jacket enough!

    I posted about my gun here;

    Hope that helps!

  11. Just a suggestion...

    For Stick mags, buy Russian 8s, for US stick mags, buy AGPs.

    The PeoMags look good, but there are mostly really bad performance reviews, my experience included.

    I'm curious... why the AGP? I've only got a Russian 5 rounder and the Surefire 10 rounder, but have had excellant results with the surefire so far - do you feel the AGP is better than the surefire? One of the problems I ahd with Russian 5 roudner is the metal clip getting worn and eventually popping off the two studs that hold it in place. once it's done that a few times, they pop off constantly. The surefire, having that section all one piece of poly, has worked flawlessly [admitedly - so far at least]. The AGP ahs the same type of metal clip lips, so I assumed they could potentially suffer from the same malady. So I'm not trying to insiuate anything or pick a fight or anything, I'm just curious if perhaps you onto something I'm not aware of as to why the AGP's might be better. anything you could share would be helpful.
