  1. Came across this article today. Clear and incisive, it gets right to the heart of the origin and meaning of the 2nd Amendment, and exposes the efforts of left activist judges who legislate from the bench to undermine our most basic constitutional freedoms.

  2. Another alternative would be to buy a good used machine a couple of years old, or just keep your old machine and load it with Linux Mint. The Linux distribution can be downloaded burned to DVD and will actually run from your optical drive (just a bit slower) if you want to see how it works. Once you choose installation, it goes automatically, and you can choose to keep your windows installation in a bootable partition, or overwrite it so that you can use your entire hard disk for Mint

Linux Mint is freeware, meaning you wont pay a dime for it. The GUI is very user friendly. Firefox, open office (first class office software which is MS office compatible), graphics software like Gimp (like Photoshop, but free) and a range of disk burning software are included.

The apps that come with the OS are as good or sometimes better than commercial software.

Caveats are few. Be sure you have a modern printer. Doesn't have to be expensive or fancy, but should be something a new Mac or Windows install will recognize automatically. If a new Windows or Mac distribution will recognize your printer, chances are the Linux Mint will as well.

Like Mac - Linux Mint software is far more robust and efficient than Windows, so it will run faster and more efficiently on older hardware, with less memory.

  3. This morning, as President Trump took the oath of office, my wife and I popped the cork on a bottle of Champagne, and toasted our new President.

We noticed that as the cameras panned past Michelle, her face looked like she had just had a boot planted up her ass, and Bill, who looked forlorn and lost as if the world had just passed him by.  And then we fully realized that yes (!) for them it was over. Michelle would never again enjoy extravagant vacations on the  taxpayer dime, and Bill and Hillary's foundation was being shuttered, because here was no product (influence) to peddle, and their time had truly and blessedly passed. The look on Bill's face was a bitter and unwilling goodbye - to power - to influence -  and to decent pussy. In one wistful moment, It was all gone. Adieu!

So we bid farewell to cowardice, and welcome a sense of national courage and self reliance that we have not experienced in a very long time.

As I watched the helicopter depart with the Obamas today, the feeling of relief was palpable. It was like watching an old sofa infested with mildew and bedbugs being hauled away. At one time you might have had great hopes for it, but at the end of the day it turned out to be a magnet for grief, a stinking eyesore that no matter how hard one tried, could never be redeemed or justified. You simply thanked god that it was finally gone.

God bless our President, our country, and every American voter who had the courage to stand up and be counted.

God bless America, the US Marines and their humongous chopper, which as it faded into the distance with its toxic payload, looked like victory wink.png

  4.

You have got to be really f-ing stupid to rob a gun store.  Surprised there were not other customers in there shooting too.  Just saying!!

There is an internet story/urban legend I remember reading about some dumb ass who tried to rob a gun store with several customers inside at the time.

According to the story they removed five different caliber bullets from the perps body.

Don't know if it's true but it sure made me smile.

I've seen the video. Guy thought he was robbing another location - walks into a gun store - and multiple customers/staff unload on him. Awesome!

  5. The V6 brake is steel but is not overly thick, and is extremely well made, so permanently attaching with high temp silver solder was routine. Weight of the brake is not excessive and was partially reduced by removing around 5/8" of the collar, leaving around 1/4". The finished overall barrel length of 18.5" swapped some barrel weight for brake weight so the gun remained nicely balanced.

Swapping the fixed steel triangle stock for the CSS aluminum skeleton stock, CSS billet folding mechanism and CSS Vepr 12 receiver block were a very desirable upgrade for this model Vepr 12, since the cost of the parts and installation together were less than the price difference for the  factory folding stock Vepr 12. From the rear trunnion forward, the mechanics of the gun itself are identical, so the option to install (or not install) a folding mechanism, and to go with a variety of different stocks and configurations is pretty handy.

Getting back to the brake, getting used to the unconventional look took a little time, but once it was on the gun, and the build was complete I rather like it. Performance was very good to excellent.  During rapid fire -- extremely rapid fire -- the load was consistently delivered to the center of the target with no perceptible climb or creep and felt recoil was extremely manageable.

The designers of the V6 brake clearly put a great deal of time, and 'out of the box' innovative thinking into this design. In my opinion, from a performance perspective they hit a home run.

BTW, I'm also really impressed with the Cameron Hadley's Chaos keymod forend. Cam has done an incredible job with this product. It is as ergonomic, and handsome as it is functional.

  6. A couple of accessories for the Draco.

Midwest Industries Extended SS rail with Aimpoint upper.  ALG AKT trigger.  Magpul K2 grip.

The Primary Arms Advanced sight I already had, and the AFG.

Yes this rail requires you to cut the front handguard retainer off but I'm fine with that.  YMMV.

I may put a Shockwave Blade on it (I already have one I took off the AR pistol when I got the stamp), or I may just put a sling swivel on it.  Maybe the NFA will get repealed or modified and I can just put a folding stock on it.

Love it! Built a Mini-Draco for a client and was completely impressed with it. The thing consistently keyholes, but it also consistently hits right where you aim. These are excellent personal defense and 'truck' guns. Micro Draco, Mini Draco, will most likely be my next personal purchase. Set it up like an MP5, with HK sights. Awesome front sight gun! Thanks for posting!

  7. The entire left media establishment is still weeping uncontrollably, rending their robes, and gnashing their teeth due to their spectacular failure to frighten, intimidate, and strong arm the American electorate into surrendering our national identity, and most basic freedoms to the bankrupt cause of totalitarian globalist socialism.

I actually got up this morning thinking about the 'identity politics' of the left. The very term 'identity politics' means just one thing - industrial strength institutional political bigotry and outright racism. It is in effect an unyielding political scorched earth strategy which seeks to elevate selective groups and classes of people by seeking to demonize, denigrate, and marginalize other groups and classes of people.

That the left actually came as close as they did to destroying the very foundations of our republic continues to give me pause. Watching them melt down in despair and disbelief over having failed does bring some satisfaction. It also betrays the extent to which they hate our freedoms, and the lengths to which they will go to subvert and destroy our sovereignty.

We just came closer to losing our republic than we have at any time in our history.  We must remain vigilant.
