Shipping a gun - Who, what, where, why and how - Saiga-12.com
Short answer: You can send any gun to any FFL at any time for disposition.
thanks a lot

SORRY...SEEMS I BROKE A RULE. DIDNT KNOW!!!

Is it legal for a non FFL to sell a shotgun online as long as he ships it to an FFL? Does out of state matter at all? Ive got a converted saiga 12 i need to get rid of...too many toys...not enough money.

how do you guys clean the gas tube?
-
i took my pocket knife to the grip and i know longer have the problem...thanks

There shouldn't be any positioning problem of the grip with the Tromix DIY guard.
A little touch up with a Dremel on the grip would fix that.
yeah i thought about shaving a little off.
-
Hmm what trigger guard are you using? I guess the only solution is to move the grip back. It seems to be really far forward. Perhaps get a different grip?
Tromix Do-It-Yourself Saiga 12 Trigger Guard is what i used. the pistol grip screws into the trigger guard. I guess i may have to change grips.
-
Who did your conversion, the pistol grip seems to be WAY too close to the trigger.
Do you have a pistol grip nut hole cut in the receiver?
I did the conversion. I think i just "LOOKS" too close to the trigger in the pic. The grip is notched to form around the back of the trigger guard. I basically bolted the grip where the old trigger stuck through the receiver. should i have made a hole? If i could move the grip back 1/4 of an inch it would solve the problem

Yes, check to see if there is a spring installed?
on the other hand what grip are you using, can you post a picture?
The spring is installed. heres the grip.

attached is the button pushed in and the bolt open. you can see, if you look close, at how its digging into the grip.

I hope Im calling it the right name, forgive me if I am not.
I have a converted s12. next to the pistol grip is a button that you push that holds the bolt open. THe problem is that it is rubbing my pistol grip to the point that if I push it in, the only way I can get it to release the bolt is grab it was plyers, pull the bolt all way back, and pull the button out with the plyers. any ideas on how to fix this?

Prison is right...same thing happened to me.

Here are a few observations that may help those who want to convert.
1. If know nothing about guns and you are not a handy type person, it will take you longer than you think.
2. It is doable
3. you will cuss
4. This forum, Youtube, and google are your friends
5. The springs will make you cuss some more.
6. Gun vises are nice...i dont have one, but i wish i did.
7. Mississippi Auto Arms is a good place to shop
that is all
oh yeah, and get a dremel

I converted my saiga today (and lastnight). I shot it this evening to test it. It looked like this
-fire
-old cartridge ejected
-new cartridge fed
-the trigger is not reset
So i pulled the bolt back and ejected the unfired cartridge and fed a new cartridge.
-the trigger reset
-fire
-old cartridge ejected
-new cartridge fed
-the trigger is not reset
and then repeat the whole process. So the trigger only resets when i manually pull the bolt back. any ideas?

I got the bolt stop and spring in. now im trying to put the safty in, but it seems like the bolt stop is in the way. I have it pushed foward as far as it will go, but still in the way. do you have to grind something here?
NEVER MIND.. GOT IT..THANKS

Use dental floss. I've done this 3 times with great success.
Another trick (applies to the S12 but apparently is not an issue with the .223) is to cut a notch in the BHO so the safety can be installed with the BHO in place.
got it in...thanks guys

Im about ready to chop my gun up in lil pieces and set it on fire. I can not get the bolt stop spring and bolt stop in. I dunno if im too clumsy or my fingers are too big or what the deal is...im about ready to cuss.

It's UTG but it has a LED lamp so I don't think any amount of recoil can break it. I've got one... batteries don't last too long but its crazy-bright and has a pressure pad.
I've got one on my Mossberg pump shotgun while I'm waiting for my new saiga 12 to get to my FFL in the mail. It's also kind of big... Takes 3 CR123s...
I have had very bad luck w/ pressure pad switches, cheap brand ones. I have would avoid them unless they are by surefire or something like that.
Get a G2l & the V Tac Mount, if you have rails.
thanks for the advice

I dont know why it would be changing, but you can change the display mode by clicking options in the top righthand corner of any thread, and selecting standard from the display mode section.
Nobody knows why.
It happens to 99% of the users, once.
well that seemed to have fixed it for now. thanks for your help.

Ive been on this board a few days now. It used to work nomally, but now When i click on a thread it shows the original thread starter and below that are links to the replys instead of the whole replys being stacked below the original thread starter. I hope that make sense.
now. If i delete my cookies, all is fixed. for a few minutes anyway. Then it reverts back to the messed up way. can anybody help? I HATE having to click on every reply just to see it.

Not sure about pressure pads and strobes but I like my TLR-1. So much so that I bought two. They can take a serious beating. However, They will run you about $80. In your price range look into the M-3 or maybe rigging up a handheld? The TLR-1 is the best bang for your buck IMHO.
Yeah, ive looked at that. I havnt found it for under 100.
What is a fair asking price?
