  1. My story is short and simple.

The wife and I saw a documentary on TV about the AA12. We were so intrigued that we began to look up anything we could find on the AA12 via the internet....not a lot at the time......but, I did find the S12 on Youtube. A Kalishnakov 12 gauge?? Once I discovered that I could own one, it's all I could think about until I got it.

I'd still like to have an AA12. :smoke:

Same here, seen the AA-12 and was talking about it to a friend. he told me about the saiga. Went and bought one right away.

  2. Everyone knows Ford sucks, let's not get silly.

I GOT THEM ON THE PHONE, THEY'LL BE RIGHT OVER!

    post-7166-1248204977_thumb.jpg

Sometimes when you buy a product, there are issues with the product, good companies post their contact information, so you can talk to them about getting a refund or replacement. If you were to say buy a a brand new Ford truck and the transmission fell out, would it be fair to goto a message board and bitch and whine about how Ford sucks without contacting the dealer or manufacturer first? Grow up and go whine to your mommie, maybe she wants to hear it.

Can this thread goto fight club yet?

  3. Every fire arm i've bought has gone up in value, except my Mosin.

I dare say saiga 12's have out performed the stock market since 2003.

    "invested over 2k"

riiiiiight invested, cause that money is gonna have a return..........

  4. I think this is the video you are talking about.

All this talk about the USAS-12 reminded me about something I had heard a couple years ago, that some company in Tennessee (I forget their name) was supposedly going to be building AA-12s (the shotgun the USAS-12 is derived from) for military use, but since then I never heard anything else about it. Anyone know if they ever did start building AA-12s, and if the military ever bought any?

The Military Channel has run a special on this gun, the one with that Mack guy that used to be a navy SEAL. Firepower? maybe..not sure of the show name.

Lots of footage of the thing firing and looks impressive UNLESS you look carefully and see the footage was edited to hide at least 2 jams.

1 while mack is shooting FA and he stops you can see three rounds still in the drum through the clear back of the drum mag. and very briefly the bolt half closed on another shell, bofore the camara cuts to a scene of him holding the gun in one hand and the empty drum in the other, as if he'd emptied it then removed the drum.

2 while 2 are mounted side by side in a vehicle mount and you can clearly see one stop fireing before the other.

they appear to be firing from an open bolt which does nothing for first shot accuracy.

they fire slow on FA about 350rpm as near as i can tell. I can pull a trigger at that speed LOL

i understand the controllabilty issue for a shotty on FA but why add the hassle if trigger control and training can acheive the same result without the complication of FA

BTW I'll take the Saiga because it works and its rugged

  5. The Internet is a very public place, and when you :deadhorse: over and over, you are just adding more crap for anti asshole to Google.

  7. So, if we don't mention gun control, there will be none???

Thanks for the personal insults, it adds to your internet tough guy persona and your creditability....you must be lovely on picnics.

Only a freakin DUMBASS, would think sticking there head in sand will make a threat go away.

There will be no ban unless you asshats keep demanding one.
  8. saiga 12 has 14 parts.

Must have 10 or fewer foreign parts to meet 922r

mag is three. Stock is one.

How does this not satisfy 922r?

... I think you should at least put on US made stock so you can use hi cap US mags legally, though. I just go with Tapco DIY pistol/adjustable stock... around $60, and then add some 12rd clips. You can add a recoil pad to the DIY stock also, but I didn't feel the need. My Tapco and using managed recoil buckshot cuts the recoil almost in half... pretty managable IMO.

I don't think just adding a U.S. made stock and U.S. made mag is enough to satisfy 922r. There are more parts needed before it can be legal. Better check on that.

  9. I believe It's a ceramic "rock" from a vibrating parts tumbler.

These are bins with ceramics rocks that tumble and vibrate in them. Rough parts are added in the "rocks' polish and smooth the parts.

    Just my guess.

EDIT found link. It's called a round bowl Vibrator and the show small picture of the triangle shaped ceramic media.

  10. ....

A lot of gun owners voted the same people in that want to take our guns, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from illegal search and seizure, freedom to better our lives without property confiscation (read taxes). They are in denial about these politician's intentions to make America a Fascist state because they promise them freebies or a feel good mentality (like the rest of the world will finally love us).

I would be willing to bet that there are several quiet members on this forum that vote for gun-grabbers because they think they will get some sort of hand-out or prop-up benefit either professionally or personally. Remember that Bill Ruger supported the first AWB?

If we can't even get our own supporters to take charge and do the right thing, then one day, we will no longer have the power or ability to take charge and freedom will be nothing more than a distant memory!

    Remember that Dumbass Dan Cooper?

  11. They are worth what the market will bear. Chances are they will keep going up in value.

And while it is doubtful that they will get cheaper, a USA mag may come along that is as good....maybe.

The problem is Venders are hesitant to dump a bunch of money in developing and producing a product that can be outlawed at anytime.

  12. Yeah, orig Saiga buttstock out of the box will kill your shoulder... not fun. It's pretty light for a 12ga shotgun, so it has a lot of recoil the way it is configured. When I first purchased my s12, I shot it at the range for maybe 50rd of buck just to test it out before I made any mods and jeopardized the warranty. Shot well, but I sure didn't want to do that to my shoulder again lol.

You don't really have to convert to reduce the recoil, and as was said, you should find buttstock recoil pads for $10-25.

Hey sly does that stock go on without converting? and if so how easy is it to install?

I have one, it's a 15 minute job if you are slow. Couldn't be much easier. Comes with a thick pad also, really reduces recoil. I will more than likely convert later, but I like this stock because it kept me legal under 922r with an US made hi cap mag.

It's a cheap stock, but it's sturdier than it looks.
