  1. Yea, Sam Adams is a douche. I had not heard about all of these shootings, I pretty much always carry when I go into the Portland area but I guess I will have to be extra vigilant now.

A few people tried to rob me a few blocks down from the Killingsworth shooting earlier this year.

My G-17 came in handy for that one.

I'd suggest everyone legal keep armed around here.

    Especially at night.

No more P-64 for a while (7 shots). It'll be the G-17 on my side for the foreseeable future.

Portland is the only city where you can get Sam Adams without being 21.

  2. Semi-autos in general have less recoil that pumps. I find the Saiga recoil to be pretty mild as 12-gauges go.

Since this is largely an issue of perception, I'm guessing you were running hotter/heavier ammo than you usually use, or the gun you're used to is heavier than the Saiga. Or both.

    What Bob said

Could also be the way you hold it against your shoulder. If you're not holding it tight you'll leave a gap. Then every time you fire it'll be kicking you in the shoulder. I have fired 3 inch slugs out of my saiga with no bruising.

  3. You have any pictures? How is the fal stock mounted?

I have an Ace button folder with an Ace stock. For the price of the button folding mechanism it shouldn't have any wobble but it does. Some people report different degrees of wobble. I don't know if there are any fixes for it. It's not as noticeable when you shoulder the weapon.

  4. A lot of people have different ideas about what they want for a conversion. Different stocks, forearms, and muzzle brakes to name a few. I like my Saiga and it's configuration but someone else might not be a fan.

People are likely going to be wary of a kitchen table gunsmith's gun vs a professionally converted gun. Better finish, welded components, function testing, and someone to contact if you have a problem.

  5. Great looking guns and target setup. Talented shooters and amazing reload times. I saw the youtube comments and was also wondering about the sound at 3:02 the whooshing noise. Do the dual compensators help a lot with recoil?

  6. it's in BF2

It's also in the upcoming battlefield bad company 2, Arma 2, and quite a few other games. Didn't even realize it was in MGS 4.

The thing that bugs me about almost all shotguns in video games is the choke. It's like super double extra open. Good luck hitting anyone more than 15 feet away. It's probably that way since it's how they are portrayed in movies. I was surprised the first time I shot a shotgun in real life on how far it reaches out.

  7. I like the Club stock on the shotgun. I just received some of those in. How do you like it?

I like it quite a bit. It's simple, compact, and solid.

Your SGL21 looks really nice. Neat to see that Ace has a new stock out. Also like the non slotted poly choke cuts down on length a bit. Gotta find someone who wants to trade my slotted for non slotted :).
