  1. First off, this is my rifle that I use for hunting. Me and my co-workers train for cqb, so we do partner drills with our carbines and pistols. I can't say "Hold up. Before we get started let me shoot some groups for accuracy for my hunting rifle that I use for two-three months out of the year. I know we only have two hours, but I really have to do this to prove to some random guy on the internet that my muzzle brake makes the gun handle alot better." The range we use is also used by many other agencies, including the FBI, ATF, etc... I don't have any stock in the company, but I did do the r
  2. Dude, I know. Its a lost cause to try to get any hard accuracy info out of these guys. Its kinda like talking to a brick wall. So far, no one has done any extensive testing/reviews. All I'm hearing is that its "good" or "great"; words that are purely qualitative, not quantitative. If someone gives me some hard data, I'll drop the coin for one of these. Otherwise, what's the point? I bought the thing, went through all the trouble of reserving the range to make a quick video, and gave a quick rundown on the results of my findings. What else do you want? Either buy it or don't m
  3. I have a converted Saiga .308 with alot of tapco goodies on it. Trigger group, m4 buttstock, tri-rail handguard, and SAW pistol grip are all Tapco. It also has a SGM Tactical muzzle brake on it. It is also posted for sale on blackgunowners.org. Here are some pics: This is a closer pic. The scope has already been sold. The only blemishes are around the trigger guard where I didn't refinish the metal from the conversion. The deal includes a 25 rounder, 5 rounder, and factory 8 rounder plus original box, etc. I can ship to FFL, but would prefer FTF in NC. Only want $450 or trade
  4. Just got back from the range today after shooting my S308 with my new SGM muzzle break. I am very pleased with how much it actually reduced recoil. It feels much more like shooting a 7.62x39. It allows for much faster and accurate follow up shots . I was a bit apprehensive to buy one because of how massive they look in the pictures, but after shooting my rifle with it installed, I could care less about how it looks. It has also kind of grown on me. Even if it's kinda bulky and ugly, Its on MY Saiga, so I love it. If you are trying to decide weather or not to buy one, just do it. You won't be

  6. Alright. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXTbEyPrRLw Just a little shooting on the move. Nothing too tactical or strenuous. You be the judge. I own it, and don't regret it a bit...
  7. I think my pic is on page two of this thread. I'm at work right now so I can't post any new ones.
  8. Let us know how the range turns out. And I know their website says this has no flash hiding capabilities, but did you notice if your fireball was a little more tame? One last thing, how much louder did it make it? I know mine is super loud without a brake and I tend to piss people off at the range... As for the recoil reduction and accuracy increase, hell yeah! Again, I can't wait for your range report. What ammo do you usually shot out of yours? I was shooting brown bear this time. I usually shoot Remington soft point ammo. There was very little flash that I noticed and the nois
  9. The Verdict is in!!! It is official: The SGM Tactical .308 muzzle brake......ROCKS!!! OMG I can't believe it is the same rifle! Now this was just an initial testing and was done in a heavily wooded area but let me tell you that there is a HUGE difference in the rifle. First off, the recoil is GREATLY REDUCED! The recoil is on par with my WASR 10/63! I couldn't believe it either! Follow up shots with this muzzle brake are simple. I was shooting at about 25-30 yards with iron sights and nailing it! I'm telling you, I am so excited and can't wait for deer season this year. All I need now
  10. Winter weather and berm enhancements at the range have seriously delayed my tests. I'll be lucky if I can shoot before the end of the month!
  11. Exactly when did the AK platform become "classy"?
  12. Yeah. The gun itself is big. Its big, black, heavy, and hard to tame. Just like me...
  13. My MB mounted within minutes. Still haven't got to the range yet. Hopefully I'll be able to shoot it this weekend...
  14. Gentlemen, gentlemen. Please, we're all on the same side here. Hopefully I will get to test my 308 out this coming weekend. Then I will let you all know if it is truly worth the money. Until next time....
