  1. I don't have the Droid X, but I do have the original Droid(totally modded of course :D).

The Droid X is an awesome phone. I wish I could snag one!

    TOOL APPS:

Barcode Scanner - Lets you scan barcodes using the camera. Mainly used to shortcut to the download section of other apps.

Shazam - Its and app that you can use to listen to a song and it will identify what song it is. Works wonders believe it or not.

Launcher Pro - If you get sick of the way the DroidX looks and want to customize it Launcher Pro easily lets you do it.

PowerAMP - I strongly suggest this music player app if you are going to use the phone as a portable music device. It has library controls and a full equalizer. A great replacement to the music app the phone comes with.

    GAMES:

Angry Birds - Put birds in a slingshot and launch them at pigs. Yes it is awesome.

Skies of Glory - Fly a plane using the built-in motion controls and shoot down other pilots.

    GUNS, GOVERNMENT:

CONGRESS - This app lists every vote either house of Congress makes. For EVERYTHING. It also lists every bill being passed, being introduced, and it's movement. It also contains contact information for EVERY representative and senator. MUST HAVE app for those watching the watchers.

US Constiution - For those arguments or debates. Also contains all of the the Declaration of Independence, key articles by the founders, and others.

Shooter - I have not used this but apparently it is a full on ballistics calculator. It's $10 so I'd probably want to read about it.

  2.

I can not speak for New Mexico but his guy would be in violation of Georgia Law when:

A: He walked up into the the middle of the Traffic Stop the second time after being told to stand clear by the officer. This is Obstruction.

There you cops go again, making stuff up :lolol:I saw him walk up to the scene and be told to leave the scene and he did.

    B. When he failed to present ID when requested by the Officer. "Failure to exhibit Drivers License on demand."

That is the case here locally as well, or so I'm told by police. Maybe I should double check on that. :D

Walking around looking for trouble is not standing up for your rights, it is being a dumbass.

This I totally agree with. Watching it again, it looks like he is looking for a situation to get involved in. I don't think people should go around looking for trouble with the police, their job is hard enough as it is. But then again, I don't think the police should be harassing this guy for carrying a firearm.

I don't understand how people can be so disassociated from firearms that the mire sight of one frightens them. It would be a totally different situation if they where involved in a firearm related situation that was traumatizing, but I highly doubt this is the case most of the time. I will continue to open carry whenever I feel the need or desire. I just hope the gun hating hippies stay the fuck out of Az.

In AZ you are not required to provide ID unless you A) are being detained, or B ) are Concealed Carrying with permit.

However, you are required to provide your name.

  3. Thanks guys. Yea I flipped the sight already lol. When I put those on I had been up for close to 30 hours.

I took it out to Usery Pass here in Phoenix. Shoots great. Put about 200 rounds down it with no malfunctions or any other issues. Got it sighted in pretty well @ 100yards and had no problem hitting a 10" diameter target(I've only been shooting less than a year).

Very nice looking rifle! I had a blast building mine, although I didn't put as much into it as you did. Really like your handguard. Maybe some day for me. As for the BAD, I took mine off. I didn't like how much horizontal pressure it was placing on the bolt catch, but just my opinion. Have fun and again, great looking rifle there!

Yea, I considered the BAD, but its easy to just smack the bolt catch on my way to the forend.

Nice looking one how does that rail mount up looks like it has a coupler at the front of the reciever end

It has a rear receiver plate that freely spins in place, followed by a proprietary barrel nut. Then you just screw the forend into the receiver plate and tighten it down into place. The barrel nut sits lower than the gas hole so it removes that annoying task of having to line the nut up to the hole. I heavily suggest this rail. A can of soda weighs more than it!

Congrats and huge props for going with quality parts! I cringe when I see those "I got my first AR!" threads......and they got the shittiest quality AR you can buy, simply because it was cheap. Those are the guys who will come back in a month and say "I hate AR's!!"...........because they bought a POS.

Thanks, I did TONS of research on parts and shot all sorts of rifles. It was a tossup between LMT, LWRC, or Noveske. I went with LMT based on friend recommendations.

Buying the lower shelf rifle was tempting, but the way I thought about it I could spend the extra money and get a top shelf AR with the parts I want and not have to incur a higher cost later.

If you want an great quality rail, without spending a ton, and free-float is not a concern.........check out Troy's MRF-DI models. They are 2-piece direct drop-in rails. They install just like regular plastic handguards (no need to remove the delta ring or anything else) and lock up real tight. They have them in 7" for carbines and 9" for mid-lengths (they might even have a 12" rifle length by now, I'm not sure). I had a 7" on my carbine upper and loved it. It's only gone, because it went with the upper when I sold it. I now have one on my mid-length, and love it too. Last I checked, the 7" was only $140, and the 9" was about $170 (I think). These are NIB prices.

For those not in need of free-float rail and are on a budget, these are the best option, IMO.

+1 on the troy rails. If you like tube-style forends I also suggest the Viking Tactics forend. It's made by troy and is modular.

  4. Allllllllll of my friends finally talked me into an AR. At the very least I built this from the ground up. Going to Usery Pass today to test fire/sight it in. All I have left really are rail panels.

    LMT Upper(Barrel, Upper, and BCG)

    Firebird Precision Lower.

    RRA Parts kit.

    Vltor E-Mod Stock

Daniel Defense LITE Rail, which they really mean light, goddamn!

    ERGO Grip

  5. In AZ you do not have to disclose, but from my understanding from my speedy friends the cops tend to treat you differently if you present your CCW and inform them that you are carrying and armed.

It more than likely all depends. To be honest if I am pulled over I will disclose I am armed and where it is because more than likely I will need to reach into my glove box for my registration where my gun also is. I'm not breaking a law and I and I would rather not surprise an officer with a glove box full of gun without them knowing.

Alternatively in AZ an officer can confiscate your gun for the duration of the incident but must return your gun and ammunition at the end. I have heard stories that asshole cops(as I like to call those who abuse their authority) will do shit like take your magazine out and spit the rounds all around your car then drive off for you to pick them up.
