I have the AGP Gen 2 mags and they are great.

Hey welcome to the board. I'm not entirely sure, but the guard around the barrel is the stock hand guard that comes with the S12, looks like it had a rail mounted to it.
Hopefully someone else can answer the VFG and light.

The barrel is more than likely threaded, just screw that cover off on the end of the barrel and you will see the threading. There are several vendors on this site who sell chokes for the S12.
The "complicated" kits that require you to cut the tang are actually very simple. You just install a receiver block sold by most vendors on this site. After that you will be able to pick and choose from several different stocks from several different vendors. I did this to mine and I have not looked back.
Really what it comes down to is what do you want to do to your S12? Do you want to use it to hunt? Do you want it to look tactical or would you rather have the more traditional AK look? Is it for home defense or just for fun on the range? Once you figure out what you want to do with your S12 then you can go into the even harder part of picking parts.

The real question is how we deal with the magnetic poles shifting, 'cause that shit is real.
I don't want to live through the period where our magnetic shield is in a constant state of flux and we are exposed to the full force of the suns radiation, watching the "northern" lights shimmering over Mt Rushmore would be pretty neat though......
Clearly, our love of guns and shooting lead is what causes the magnetic shift. We should ban all guns.
