  1. What did Stan's quote you to do the choke?

    190.00 Labor only.

    POLY CHOKE EXTRA

Gotta find it cheaper if I can.  Stan is a great gunsmith, however.

What region is your constructive recycling center in?

    RANDEL, WASHINGTON

I am writing this at work and I must go back to the horrible

environment that allows me all these wonderful toys.

I was thinking about putting a Polychoke on one of my S-12s and found this site:

  2. I want to mount a red dot sight on myb Saiga-12.

Thus far, there's the Kobra with a weaver low side

    mount I am looking at

                                                      and

A BSA red dot sight with the aforementioned weaver low side mount

And a veritable antique sight from the late '70's.

Any constructive input is welcome as i want to buy them on July 12.

July 13 I am going to the range when they open and come home late.

    :batman:

I have a Kobra and I like it but I decided that for $49 I'd try a Barska 50mm 1x red dot which I mounted on one of those mounts from Belarus (the good one, not the fake). I wish it was a little brighter in bright sunlight but other than that I absolutely love it. I have a couple hundred rounds fired with it and it has stayed zeroed and works like the day I got it. I keep expecting the cheapo Barksa to fail but iso far so good. Last Sunday I shot a 2 lt. soda bottle 8 times in a row once while it was still in midair from the previous shot at about 35 - 40 yds. I've had similar results with the Kobra but those 50mm's make a huge difference. If this thing continues to hold up like it has so far I will not give a rat's ass what anyone thinks of my cheapo sight. I'll just buy another AK for my Kobra.

  3. CHUCKU ROCKS!!!!! Easy to deal with and super-fast shipping and item precisely as described. They say an armed society is a polite society but the more I get to know gun people the more I think it's the other way around. It's nice to read this thread and read how honest and forthright all of you are. It's nice to see so many people in one place that obviously share my beliefs as to how people should treat each other. :super:

  4. In development right now. My gunsmith is working on a prototype that will slide in place of the floorplate, using 3" shells, and extend capacity to 7rnds on a 5 rounder (8 if you shave the follower down)

My question is this: How many would people buy, what would you pay, etc... We are thinking of 40.00 per extension plus shipping.

    Feedback? Thoughts?

Sounds great, he would need to make a new spring too so that would give us two more US made parts right? Sign me up for 3 of them. 5-rounders are like $50 each + $40 = $90 for an eight-rounder. A steal for sure.

  6. compton california. yeh. ive been waiting for someone to post that as a topic so i can flame the police yet again for incompetance. isnt the second thing you learn supposed to be "always know whats behind your target"?  that would be like me shooting skeet from in front of the line and aiming AT the trap itself and firing as its letting one go.

as for what i heard about the new importing, i will ask my local dealer the next time im in there. im sure there is confusion on it all, but ill see what i can find out. my memory isnt so good anymore (ask the state of NY), so i dont remember specifically what company he said.

Why you gotta flame the cops? That was some great television. You don't get video like that everyday. 100-something rounds fired and the perp is in stable condition? They must have been shooting at the tires.

  7. Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I'm glad to have found it. I wrote to the people that make the Sidewinder magazine conversions for pump-guns about possibly making a variation of their drum and stick magazines for Saiga 12s and this is their reply:

    From: "info" <info@knoxx.com>

    To: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Subject: RE: Saiga 12 Shotgun Magazines

    Date: Mon, 2 May 2005 08:50:11 -0700

Adapting our magazines to the Saiga is not possible as they do not have feed

lips. Federal regulations prohibit the use of magazines with a capacity

greater than 5 rounds on non-US made shotguns. That's why the 8-round Saiga

magazines have to be smuggled in from Europe. We are aware of the market and

the federal laws. Thank you for your interest.
