Joe, your S12 & Devin's one wouldn't lock it up. The Drum would bottom out on the bottom of the receiver just before clicking in.
Just pre-production issue. If you want I will file it down a tad and you can borrow it if you like.
The misfire was a FTE. Had some here & there, but no worries. That plum S12 was never fired before I took it out that day, nice way to pop her cherry. I had a couple in my AGP's as well.
I did have the drum spring pop out on the last little session, out of the carrier gear, and it rendered itself unusable. A quick teardown at home found the problem & I reassembled. Mike had us wind them to 4 turns when they were designed for 3, I'm guessing the extra load popped it out of the hole. When I reassembled, I wound it to 3 turns to try that.
Oh yeah the scoop mod makes them 3x easier to load, literally.
I'm very happy with how it ran. Sorry it didn't lock up in your 12 Joe, but we'll give it another run. Just say the word.
Would be nice to see a few others there too, seriously guys, we don't bite. It was a lot of friggen fun!

Awe shucks guys
I haven't had any complaints on them, but can rest assured if you did have any problems I stand by my stuff 100%.

I concur, price not too high.
Your best bet is gunbroker...

That was a FCG he got from me, and he contacted me by email.
The hammer has been milled to clear the BHO lever, so the lever needs to be in there or I can swap it out for a non narrowed hammer.
A washer will work too, but might be sort of tricky to get up there. That is why the hammer is moving off center.
The entire FCG has also been polished already. Then refinished.

Flat trunnion - no more than 1/8"
Round trunnion you might want to go a smidge thinner.

Nice & clean job!

Thanks for the warm wishes fellers & mama! Mucho appreciated!

My 22 7/8" full choke had 3 holes as most 22"ers do. She didn't want to cycle the cheap low dram loads very well.
It was like that when I bought it. They would flop onto the ground next to the shotgun or get caught in the gun.
When I cut the barrel back to 19" I went and opened the ports up to 0.093".
It still has 3 ports as well, I didn't add the 4th.
My standard 19" 4-port ones I opened to 0.082" (#45 drill)
Both length barrel S12's ports are 0.075" from factory if I remember correctly.
Using those #'s both guns run good on pretty much anything I feed them.
No rear trunnion hammering. No buffer. Just remember to switch gas settings for the powerful stuff.
Another tidbit, if you cut a 22" full choke one back, you need to go to 20.5" max to get to cylinder bore.
(if you plan on threading it)
All that said, there are exceptions like SaigaNoobie's 19" with 3 ports. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Lay the hammers side by side & note the differences in profile.
She will be very smooth if you match the profile of the G2 to the factory hammer.
Then polish out the parting lines on all the contact surfaces.

I'll spring for some food & supplies. Wouldn't be a day at the pit without it.
Got a bottle of 'ole cobra venom stashed for just such an occasion.

AFAIK Numrich has had that same price since they started stocking them. They were pricey then, but now it's a bargain.
Someone hasn't clued them in on everyone elses price hikes.

Very cool C&SMW! Thanks for the great review. I am with the others that can't wait.

Ah yeah I forgot the S12 has the different BHO lever. I have one of Jeric's manual units in mine & he has it designed to clear the safety so I kinda take that for granted. Do as was mentioned above and cut a relief.

Fogaban, don't get those Widget Co ones, they do not have the locking tabs on them.
I got hooked up through one of our distributors at work and bought a few thousand of them for cheap.
Email me if anyone wants them - not through the site - and we'll get you taken care of.
I also toss some in with orders for free.
Widget Co sucky type with small ribs.
Locking Type with tabs. Good ones.

Joseph, happy B-day!

Yes, you need to break the chips. Back off frequently.
If you've never tapped a hole before, practice on something else first.
DON'T just crank them in there!

5th it is - Who's comming?
-
Saiga-12 Kla$$ic IMO

I remember GRem or someone contacting me about it and never got back with me.
Dunno what happened either.

The RSA I have in my 308 floats side to side, same as a G2 trigger.
That is because the 308 factory trigger has the sheetmetal trigger spot welded on the outside of a standard width trigger block.
The receiver opening is wider on them.
Aside from that, which can be fixed with a washer, they are great FCG's.
Safety works good as-is, where a G2 needs some positive material added to the right rear trigger leg or the safety tang lengthened.
Crossmember cut in hammer required. That is why you need a 308 RSA.
Width of hammer should be reduced for BHO lever.
Also profile of hammer face needs to me adjusted to look similiar to the factory hammer - see pic
(not a requirement, but sure as hell makes it much smoother cycling IMHO)
