Hello, I'm 18 and I'm looking for a plinking rifle as my first firearm. I really like the Saiga- it's cheap, magazine-fed and semi-automatic. I'm not quite sure if I want it in .223 or 7.62 yet, I want to fire both calibers before I decide.
So I guess my "big" (ie nag issue, but not big) concern about the Saiga is magazine capacity. I know that only 10-round magazines are made for it, but I hear about people converting higher-capacity mags. How is this done? Is it relatively simple to do? If it's complicated, is it something a gunsmith would do for cheap?
Thanks a ton!
