Thanks. They are now on order.

I've been looking around for a AK-103 style front sight for my Saiga. KVAR has what looks like the correct front sight, but they seem to be for the AK-74 style guns. Is there a difference or are they the same?

Anyone have a source for Russian AK-103 front sight, gas chamber and handguard lower lock? I want to turn my Saiga into an AK-103 clone.

Does anyone know if these are still available? I need a handful for hunting.

AGP 10 round mags: anyone else having problems?
smithwr3 replied to Illuminaughty's topic in Saiga-12
Got mine in the mail last night. I'll try to make it to the range this weekend and give a report. -
I'm in the process of ordering it from Atlantic now. The ordering process is a bit different (since I spend way too much buying C&R stuff), but for the price, I can live with that.

Thanks guys for the info. I was trying to save the long distance.

Does anyone know if the Saiga 12's that Classic Arms and Atlantic Firearms have BHO's and threaded barrels? I hoping they are carrying the one's that came in too short and had to have the barrel extension welded on.

I've had the shotgun for about a year. It seemed like it worked fine with Estate game and target load 2 3/4" 9 shot with the 5 rounders. Seems like it started having problems after I converted it to a AKS-style side folder (Russian/Bulgarian stock of course) by not kicking the shell casing out and getting stuck between the right side of the bolt and the trunion. I've got an 8-rounder and it did the same. This could have been due to my leaving the manual BHO in. Consequently between removing the BHO and using high velocity 2 3/4" it seems to work fine with the 5-rounder, but I still have t

I'm wanting to get my 22" barrel cut down to 19" by my local gunsmith. If he can do it and recrown the end of the barrel, is there anything else that needs to be done, specifically with the gas ports?
-
Drats. I was hoping I wouldn't need to press anything off. Guess the project is on hold until I can find someone locally with a press. Too bad I'm not visiting my bro in TX, since he has one he can borrow.... Anyways, thanks for the help. I'm gonna look elsewhere for the gas chamber thing since it's hit and miss with my drilling through metal skills.

Anyone out there replaced their stock Saiga 7.62 gas chamber with a military-style one with the bayonet lug? It looks to be a simple job. Without alot of thought into it, the steps look like remove pins from the front sight, slide it off, then remove the gas chamber pins, slide it off, replace gas chamber, put in it's pins, and replace the front sight and replace it's pins. Any special things to know about this? Anything suggestions on making the gas chamber snug on the barrel?

I bought an AKS-74 side folding stock and on the rear receiver stub there was a spot welded base plate on the bottom. Where can I buy one of those?

I want to get the barrel and front end of by Saiga converted to look like an AK-100 style rifle. I've already done the pistol grip and left side-folder stock conversion.

That's the one I was looking for. Also, do you have any instructions, preferably with pictures, on how to install the stock catch hardware? I'm doing this on a 20 gauge and a 7.62 rifle.
