After the convert I was thinking I added 5+ us parts but if I insert a foriend made mag will it give me -3 parts??? Also do the $10 magazines from aim surplus work for saiga converts? It says its the Surplus European Steel AK47 7.62x39 30rd Magazines. Those are the ones that fit correct??? Thanks
  4. I notice on other pictures people with FLAT trunnions have a RAMP. I notice from http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_762x39/x39ftk.html this picture it has a ramp like thing. I do not have that, look at my picture. Can I install a bullet guide with out this ramp/slant? also notice in my picture, there is something bubbled up in the metal before the chamber. do you guys use krazy glue or something like that to hold the bullet guide in place? I heard you should glue it down??
  5. THANKS SO MUCH!! you made it more clear. I was getting confussed... Dinzagarms takes 2-4 weeks to ship correct? Does anyone use those tapco intrafuse 7.62x39, 30 round magazine rugged?? I heard alot of great things on them. Some say it only holds 27-29??
  6. I am more scraed now to do it, filing at the reciver sounds dumb lol.. Please saigaforums memebrs post pictures of your saiga, like in the picture I posted, just the mag well part. I like to see your latch and mag well. Thanks. I am quite sacred of the tap part, I am scared I will screw up the hole and leave a hole in my reciver and no bullet guide. Do gun shops do this work?? EDIT, I might do it but depends on the questions and this pictures, picture 1 shows filing of latch tab, is that all i need to do for x39? picture 2 shows filing at reciver is this for x39 or .223 O
  7. "A little rust is a small price to pay for such great springs. Just oil them up." how are they great springs with rust! Well from what I heard agp is a good mag company for S12, I heard promag is junk/trash
  8. I am filing THIS with a dremel? I am filing at the reciver, not the little latch tab? NOT THIS(pic 2) I didnt see this you posted, "don't have any pics of the shortened magazine latch" Do I need to file down the little latch tab after I file down the thing in the picture?(reciver part)-in picture 3 something like this? not that far up though lol
  9. Well, I think I am going to add a bullet guide to my converted saiga I want my saiga to feel like a GUN not cheap plastic mags. I am quite scared I do not want to SCREW IT UP!. So a few questions, #1 I am getting it from dinzagarms, I am getting that set with the taps, but which one do I need? the round or flat one? #2 The tap, do I need a tool to hold this tap into place? look at picture this handle thing, what is it called? where could I get one? I see the set comes with a tap but it looks like I need this handle thing to screw it down? Will any type of oil work for cooling down? I got som
  10. It shall be unlawful for any person to import, sell, possess or transfer the following firearms: the Striker 12, commonly called a "streetsweeper," or any semi-automatic folding stock shotgun sounds like to me if you put a folder stock + a drum then its wrong, but a FIXXED STOCK with a drum I think its ok?? correct me if I am wrong
  11. I was posting to gerryv, he was being rude. Thanks so much for the help guys.
  12. Why so rude? Was just asking simple questions.
  13. First, I found this avatar off google so do I have to change it?????? I didnt know someone else had it here. Dragonwolf, what wire folder is that?? can you put a recoil/rubber pad on it?
  14. I did the math, 1 saiga 12g, convert parts, 1 20round drum = 800 ouch Thanks for all the help I been wanting to figure out the grip and forend for a little while now.
  15. I had a tapco but I sold it because I can not stand warsaw lengh. To short for me, so I got an Kvar so far its good. I really wanted to get a folder but not willing to pay $150! + for an ace folder..
  16. I am looking at more and more folders and they get $100+! I think I will stick with a kvar stock again ...... But thanks guys for helping me with the guard/grip! where do you get a clip to snap on a flashlight? pic 1 is a muzzle brake correct and pic 2 is a choke?
  17. Yes, the hand guard will fit RIGHT on your S12, and the vertical grip will attach RIGHT to the picatinny rail. I don't do folders; I like the versatility of a collapsible stock. Brakes limit recoil and/or muzzle 'flip'. They can be screwed on to the barrel, if your barrel has threads and the brake has threads, or it can be welded in place. I can't answer for how well a brake works on the S12; I have a PolyChoke II on mine. what collapsible stock do you use? and how well do you like it? a choke is that little thing when you change the numbers from 1 to 2 the factory thing? corr
  18. so I can buy those 2 pictured items and they will fit RIGHT on my saiga 12g without this part http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_12/bor1220.html I did 1 convert already on a 7.62 I am just new to 12g and I want to add a handguard for the big recoil Thanks so much for your help man! if you have a folder on your ak let me know which type it is please does anyone use BRAKES on there saiga? I was looking at a tromix shark brake I really do not know what brakes do It looks pretty cool though. These things just screw on the end of the barrel?
  19. no, I am talking about the first one(handguard) item number is saigaifhgbk 2nd pic will this fit the tapco handguard <picture left but I need http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_12/bor1220.html to fit the handguard correct? if this works then I just need to find a stock, you guys have any good advice on stocks? I am looking for a folder. I will not think about a t6, I do not think a ak should have a AR look ... at the bottom of the page http://www.dinzagarms.com/furniture/tapco.html there is a tapco folding stock, I heard some people have had their pins break and had to place metal
  20. anyone have good advice for a nice folding stock? I can not seam to find one... at this point I do not mind if it doesnt close all the way with a drum or not. I can close it half way. Itsaid on a tapco folder stock, Not legal in all areas. Why would this be? do you need to be 21 to have a folding stock?
  21. http://www.dinzagarms.com/furniture/tapco.html first one on the page the tapcos, also I could not see paying $300 for a hardguard top I am sorry, thats another gun lol... does the vertical handgrips fit the interfuse handguards?
  22. oh Thank you, I see the last picture, it looks ugly with out the top but I am not willing to pay $300 for the top looks, I just need the bottom.
  23. http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_12/akpou12.html do I need this $300! part for adding a tapco handguard/grip mount?!!???????????????
  24. Quick question on the legal lenghts. Doesnt a shotgun have to be 28 inches or longer with a pistol grip attached?/fold stock, I heard this somewhere. I just want to make sure that if I am converting another saiga I am not breaking a law because this is a shotgun..?? also I do not have a dremel and do not know if I could barrow one so my question is, can I just punch out the rivets like I did before on the 7.62x39? I saw the post on step by step converting on this forum but it looks harder than a 7.62x39 conversion... ?? I see there is 3 holes to be cut out. on picture 2, it shows same as pic
  25. so hes not going put the price to $200 again? hes going keep it at $100? I do not want to wait to buy one and they go back up or something. I saw the stock corbin showed but what is the model maker?
