The receiver on my Saiga 12 is marked Kalashnikov-USA, Pt. St. Lucie, Fl. USA. This appears to be a pre EAA Saiga. The receiver looks to be machined also. Were there any problems with these early shotguns that I should be aware of. It also has a scope mount that looks to be factory is this normal. TIA 2ba

Bob, I got a couple pics from a member here. It confirmed that I was headed in the right direction. The follower seems a little squirelly but it seems to hold the rounds ok. If you find the video let me know. Thanks

I was hoping Bob G would chime in and give a few details about the M14 mag mods, I am pretty certain that mine will work would be nice to see his though. I don't want to change the receiver in a way that the original mags won't work. I appreciate the info though. I feel that the new importer will solve the availability issue, but a solid 20 M14 mag would be a nice addition in my opinion if it could be reproduced consistently. I'm going to do a Saiga 12 next.

Are people selling the mag conversion knowhow or will someone post some details about how to convert the M14 Mags to fit the 308 Saiga. I have a pretty good start on one now but could use a little direction with the follower and receiver fitting. Anybody. TIA

This is might first post on this board. I am an AK, FAL,Saiga and M14 fan. Bob G, Would it be possible for you to share some pics and details about the M14 mag conversion. Your conversion looks nice. Any help would be appreciated. 2ba
