I've got five more years and as soon as I have Medicare I'm going to retire! Congrats on your achievement, not everybody lives long enough to get Medicare!

Sound of crickets....the left does not want to hear this, it wrecks their narrative.

A new JP 6mm Creedmoor barrel for my JP LRP-07 (AR-10). It arrives Monday, can't wait to install it! Got a Thunderbeast Supressor mount brake to go with it. Waiting on a group buy to get a TB Ultra 7 in 6.5.

Bolt heads are in testing but waiting for the OK to advertise for sale. We need to make sure they work and hold up before selling to the public.

If you can only have one, get the one that works the best for you. CC guns are personal items that need to fit you so that if you do need them you don't have to think about them, they are an extension of your body.

dsg is oout of stock...
Looks like it is in stock at Delta Tactical for $117.64. Google is your friend. Gunbroker is like Ebay, there are some regular Joes just trying to sell their extra guns but most of the stuff is being sold by people trying to make a living off Gunbroker. Almost nothing on there is going to be a smoking deal.

No forward assist is fine on competition guns, some of the light weight competition bolt carriers don't have the serrations on the side and the forward assist won't work anyway. For a SHTF gun it makes sense to have the FA.

Well this particular lower sells for $250, the upper by Rainer guarantee it is @ $200. $160 for a $500 setup.
I agree with what patriot said "Looks too good to be true...". Man, put a nice trigger group in it, nice socom barrel, furniture and make $1000.
Upper is $69.95 at Rainier Arms.
Lower is $117.64 at DSG Arms.
Mag is under $20.
Total just over $200 but you have to pay shipping and transfer. Not a horrible deal but not even close to a steal.

An FFL like that is good to know!

If you have a dealer like mine that will transfer 3 lowers for $20...
3 lowers you bought somewhere else or from him? When you buy from an FFL he should transfer for free but I usually have to pay $25 to $35 per item to transfer. I was thinking about getting an FFL to save some money on my stuff and make some side money doing transfers.

I don't know, stripped lowers are well below $100 now and stripped uppers are cheap. I counted 7 on the Brownells website that were under $100 with one under $45! With shipping and paying an FFL to transfer, I have decided to skip lowers on prize tables. I passed several this year due to the low value. If you want a lower, buy it in person at a local shop and that way you don't have to pay the extra to transfer.

You have a good point. I will talk to Robert about continuing to make drop in replacement BCs for the Saiga since he already has the CAD drawings made. He'll have to make the decision based on what he has sold and if he thinks there is sufficient market.

The current design is a change from earlier designs that had the right side charging handle in the same place as the factory carrier. The new design is made to normally work with a left side charging handle and be compatable with a right side handle but only with the dust cover trimmed. There does not appear to be enough business selling aftermarket Saiga bolt carriers otherwise other people would be making them.

Called to give my credit card info, and was informed right at the end that "oh by the way" the right hand charging handle on the new carriers is relocated to the rear, and I would have to relieve the dust cover about 2" to use the new carrier. That has to be one of the more asinine things I have ever heard of in a replacement part. Order cancelled, I will weld up the crack in my existing carrier.
The R&R carriers were not designed as a drop in replacement for standard Saigas but are built to use with our guns, that they retrofit into existing guns is a side benefit for customers. You could purchase one of the factory Saiga carriers which Robert still has in stock if you want a second carrier.

Excellent, thanks.
You might want to update the item description on the website.
Done!

Netpackrat, he will honor your order and include an op rod but the new ones will not include one in the $280 price.

Where can I get those nifty belt clips on those magazines?

No, he's making some guns on contracts using his carriers.

Robert has 12 factory Saiga bolt carriers with op rod in stock and they are $200 each. You can call him at 503-551-7283 to order. New US made R&R Bolt carriers are about 2 weeks out and will be $280. The op rod will not be included and will cost extra if needed.

Genitals and femoral artery. 2 things I will never point a gun at. Strong side carry for me.Rules of Firearm Safety, #2 Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. My genitals, NOT WILLING TO DESTROY! That's why I carry behind my strong side hip.

Bullet in the ass, probably not fatal, bullet in the groin, major artery, no bueno!

Bore Snake, old rags, q-tips, old tooth brush and some kind of oil, (I like Tri-Flo). I have some fancy rods, jags and brushes but I never use them, always go to the Bore Snake.
