  1. Whats the average time to complete an order from this store? I placed a order 2 weeks ago and never received a phone call to verify. I tried calling but it doesn't get me anywhere, phone doesn't even ring. It takes me straight to voice mail, I left a message and still no call back.

Is this one of those places that I have to order and forget about it till it decides to show up ?

    Sorry Akaider,

Robert left early last week to attend the World Shotgun Championships in Italy.  Since he personally processes all the orders it may take a few more days for him to get back and get up to speed.  I have not heard back from him about his return but I expect to hear from him when he hits the states and I will ask him then about orders that have been placed.  Feel free to PM me with your info so that I know who to ask about.

  2. gotcha... i been wanting a bolt head with 12 ga receiver rail width on it and a 20 ga extractor and centering bolt face... kinda weird request but maybe if he has some scrap laying around?

You could always call him and ask, but I would expect few companies would give out scrap parts for use in a firearm. Too much liability.

  3. Funny story, I had 2 Microsoft engineers teach a class in my room a few years ago (I teach high school in a large NW district) and I asked them what was up with all the changes to Word.  They keep moving the tools so that when I get a new version I can't find the stuff I need.  They told me that this was a sore point at MS and that in the future they were only supposed to make changes to add function and not to make changes to the program just to make it different.  IF Word was my dad I'd tell him "You are too old to be cool, put away the fancy clothes and just do your job!"

  4. For those that have not seen over rotated bullets explode it's kind of interesting.  I shot a 3 gun match with a friend that had loaded some light varmint bullets and he couldn't hit any far targets.  We noticed little puffs of smoke when he was shooting.  The bullets would reach a critical point and just vaporize.  My 105 Bergers are supposed to be rotating around 250,000 rpm.  The 1-10 barrel I got only rotated them at about 200,000 which was not fast enough to stabilize them.

  5. Something similar happened to me this week.  I got a new 6mm Creedmoor barrel installed on my JP LRP-07 (AR-10) and I could barely hit a 2'x2" target at 100 yards.  Very disconcerting considering the gun should shoot around 1/2" at 100.  Turns out the barrel was a 1-10 twist instead of a 1-8 that I had ordered.  You have to have the correct twist for the shape and weight of projectile you are shooting.  Too slow and the bullet will not stablize, too fast and the bullet may explode from over rotation.

Below is link to the Berger Twist Rate Calculator that you can put in the parameters for your bullet and find out if you have the correct twist.

  6. Still like my 16" AR with can, 1-4 scope and .22 conversion.  Shoots .223 out to 500 and can shoot .22LR up close.  I have a couple of .22 pistols that are threaded to also use the suppressor.  Truthfully I'd rather stay at home instead of traveling on foot.  Got food, water, shelter, generator and neighbors that have stuff also.  With 60 coming up next year I think I'll just hang out and shoot the carpet baggers.

  7. http://www.guns.com/2015/08/11/seattle-passes-mandatory-gun-violence-tax-on-firearm-ammo-sales/

Can't believe I've haven't seen an alert from any of or NW members.    Seattle passed a "Gun Violence Tax" because they underwrite medical bills for gunshot victims to the tune of $17 million.   The best part is, the money won't be used to pay for the medical bills, but instead will go towards research and mandatory reporting programs.

    Fuckin Liberals.....

I live a ferry ride across from Seattle but I haven't bought any gun related item in Seattle since Central Gun on 1st Ave closed about 7 years ago. They think they're smart but they just drive the business to other places and screw the folks trying to make a living in the city.  Glad I don't live there.

  8. Robert has 3 he is testing now and is in the process of testing them now.  He is running one in his competition Saiga to make sure it can stand up to thousands of rounds of abuse before he calls them good to go and then they will take some time to manufacture.  Should have some for sale in 2 to 3 months.

  9. I met Andrei Kirisenko at the Rocky Mountain 3 gun match last year, he came in 16th in Open.  I didn't know his affiliation at the time but he was with a group of Russian shooters.  They had to borrow Saigas to shoot at the match due to the import restrictions.

At 4:38 you see the back stop of the range and there are 4 R&R self-setting steel targets lined up in a row!
