  1. Looks like a great way to break your thumb. "Ratchet" my ass....that handle comes flying backwards at warp speed with every shot fired. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0YjB0xMXTg plus, forget using any kind of cool hand-guard/rail system...
  2. mine was under 550 after shipping... I didn't get mine from DDs, but here is a link to their price...shipping is like $15 to CA. [nonbusiness member link removed] looks like it out of stock for now. But last time they were out of stock, a new batch make within a week or two.
  3. Holy crap that thing is $195....WOW!
  4. The Tapco stock feels much more sturdy than the factory toy feeling stock. Likely more wall thickness but I never measured it. I wanted to post pictures of mine from when I was fitting the limbsaver but it seems those pictures were lost when the site switched and started the gallery. I have no doubt that the Tapco feels better than the original plastic stock. The ones that comes with the Saiga truly feels like a toy. Same case as the stock that came with my Savage 10, that thing was gone as soon as I got the rifle. I was only wondering because I needed something solid to make mods t
  5. sounds good to me. Now it's time to save the needed $$
  6. need an original wood stock for a project. Don't care about condition or hardware. Just as long as it's Un-modified. THANKS!
  7. are you having problems with lighter loads? how many ports does your gun have? you wouldn't have to drill them yourself, your saiga is under warranty. Not having issues yet. Just keep reading about them. My overall goal is to be 922r compliant, and add some nice, reliability oriented, upgrades. (Also, I really hate to ship my stuff out for warranty. If it was a local matter it would be different.)
  8. THANK YOU! really appreciate having the links updated! This is a awesome resource.
  9. Thanks! Good to be part of an awesome community. btw...are you going with a twister puck or regular style tapco?
  10. I'm thinking about getting the TwisterPuck (Standard Model) mostly for their claim that it helps keep the tube clean (I sometimes neglect my guns), and because of its 922r compliance. As far as the plug is concerned.. The manufacturer claims it helps the gun cycle with different size loads, mainly the cheap ones I'll be getting at Walmart. My S-12 is a very new model, and I'm not inclined to drill more gas ports unless I absolutely have to. So my question is: should I get just the puck or both? Or maybe just go with a Tapco puck? It is cheaper, but the twister adds the element of kee
  11. so..where can I get one? Also, in that pic it sits behind the gas ports. Is that the best place to have it? BTW..I tried the JP website. Didn't see it listed there.
  12. Bummer, I was hoping to use one. Are any US made stocks solid?
  13. NICE! I ran out of human limbs to use for stock material....maybe that thing will help for the next one!
  14. I was thinking about modding the shape of one. Wondering if I should get a Tapco (if it's solid) or stick with an original wood stock...
