  1. TO all Saiga .223 owners. Just want to know what is consider acceptable accurate groupings at 50 and 100yards?? both for open sights and scope...
  2. Yeah when i mounted the scope mount it was tight like a tiger. might try remounting it again to see if anything would change. or else i have to wait for the new mount to arrive.
  3. really.. all the Saiga that I have come across in NZ comes with that scope mount.
  4. Surely the original mount would work for a normal scope... Just dont know what i am doing wrong for it not to get it anywhere near where the POI is. I have got a POSP mount coming. just wish i didnt have to spend money on the mount, one would think the original mount would work.
  5. using the stock Saiga mount that came with my rifle. and yes I have tighten the rings up. was wondering if its because the scope sits so high from the barrel, could that be the problem? But then i see a few people with a scope mount and producing good results so that cant be it!
  6. SO no one has put a scope on their Saiga rifle? surely someone out their with some advise to my problem.
  7. HI all. Had a scope mounted on my Saiga .223 using the mount that came with my rifle. Been to the range today but having trouble sighting it in. I have the scope adjustment to full up yet it would still shoot 3 inches low at 50 yards.. How do people mount their scope? I am doing something wrong? Its frustrating as open sight isnt that good with my eye sight not to mention the grouping is pretty average. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Just wondering with all you guys thats reloding. What do you do to stop the brass from being dented? or can you still reload the brass with the dent on the side? i have read the post with ways of fixing it but just want to know which methods works. forking out $45USD for piece of rubber is just ridiculous
  9. Thanks guys. I managed to lossen 2 screws but the top rear one that sits behind the dust cover just wouldnt move, I end up having to drill the dame screw out. Lucky the saiga Dragunov stock only takes 2 screws.
  10. I am in the process of replacing my saiga standard butt stock to the Saiga Dragunov Butt piece. having trouble taking the flat head screws. i dont want to strip the screws. is it suppose to be that tight?? any ideas how i can get the screws out??
  11. Much appreciated. so much to learn .
  12. sweet. bore snake it is. does the hoppes 9 damage the bore snake
  13. Sorry. i think my question was how do you clean it? as in do people run the brush from the barrel end and push it back towards the chamber? as with a bolt action rifle. you run the brush from the chamber to the barrel tip.
  14. Just got my Saiga 223 today. I got a stupid question, can someone please explain to me where to apply lubication etc to keep the gun happy.
