  1. thats cool, i had my graduation last friday....college is great....

when they did the national anthem i was disappointed at how many people forgot to cover the heart.....

but what i dont understand, when they pray, since several different people are involved, dif religions and whatnot, why dont they do a generalized prayer to god? they can be beautiful prayers but at the end they isolate everyone who is not christian. if they gave a general to god amen, the everyone could participate.....

  2.

I know it's a rip off of a German design gun.

funny thing about this, everyone says it, us gun shows say this....but the one on history with M. Kalashnikov he says this pisses him off, it doesn't use the same action even tho they sort of look like each other that isn't where his idea came from......the man said this was b.s. now other people say he ripped them off......he says the idea he took from the germans was giving each comrade a way to lay down full auto fire and overwhelm an opponent

  3. my 2 cents.....

if your looking at your hd weapon be sure and choose something your willing to give up.....

it might only be for a few hours or days, but do you want the leos to have to look at your sbs, or would you rather hand them a mossy 500.....

i had a buddy (made the front page of the gilmer paper) with a methhead neighbor they had a little shootout in the living room, while everyone was safe, it showed me how things like this go down, it was my friends cousin who did the return fire, the p gripped 500 was taken for a little while until the owner reminded the local chief he had a crazy methhead who had just kicked down his door, on the loose....the leo's gave the shotgun back at that point......

  4. There in NO freedom OF religion, if there is no freedom FROM religion. We are all free to worship our maker as we each perceive him, BUT no one has the right to tell another HOW he has to worship God. This is a Nation under God, Not a Cristian,Jewish or Rastafarian Country. The God we are under is inclusive NOT exclusive. THAT was the intent of the founding Fathers. It is what makes us the best of the best.

We are not a Theocracy, but rather free men who can worship our own gods as we see fit.

fuck yeah, gob sums it up the best......

  5. heck, save a few quotes, i think most of that stuff is from the old testement, which i'm told by alot of east texas christians is "outdated"

it seems we are a nation under god, the almighty creator......

not a nation under jesus.......we are a nation that recognizes the creator...not a nation that declares jesus as such....

people will disagree but f that....we are a land free of a particular religion...we are a free people...free to worship as we please, or as we dont please...diest, athiest, jews, muslims, christians(and all its different sects)....(edited to add) and them some others i didn't feel like writing down....or dont feel like mentioning...bahia's for example....newest and fastest growing religion worldwide....

personally i think if more people would go outside and read the bible of choice for them it would be better than sitting in a church and letting someone tell you what it says....

  6. like i said it's a little bit of a rant.....

but there wasn't zeroing going on, both were checking zero for the upcoming "hog hunting tournament"

i guess it just seemed a little crazy to me that they were expecting to shoot big east texas hogs at 300 yards with a .223

its just kind of strange to me, that everyone i've ever seen on that range with an ar had a huge scope, and a rest...

....the only iron sight (or red dot) shooting i've seen done out there was with a m16 at the 25 yard berm(mag dumps)

  7. what differences are there besides the zig zag cuts, i'm gonna have to break out the camera, but tell me about the "other" differences.....

arent the top holes offset from each other a little, and not quite in line like the cheap us copy.....

also, they dont really cost 10 bucks, thats just how much i gave a guy for mine....

....after some research i see that some of the clones have tiny expansion chambers on the inside of the brake....mine is nice and roomy inside and did not come from tapco....it might be a better "clone"

  8. so the wife and i, went to the range with her uncle and his wife.

he was shooting a newly acquired marlin 30-30(100yds open sights)

i was shooting my ar (300 yard gong open sights)

a fella was there sighting in a .243 with a decent scope one it at 100 yards....

then there were 2 guys shooting twin ar's the guns were set up exactly alike, they were both shooting at a target at 300 yards, guns in rests (where you can just leave the gun alone and it stays in the same spot) i guess ransom rest?

the guys had i'm pretty sure he said 24x scopes(they were huge) and one guy managed to hit a bullseye on the target he was very happy(almost too happy)

my wifes uncle was hitting a 3 inch circle with his 30-30(supported on a table), i was hitting a 15x15 gong(prone), and these guys were hitting a target about the same size as the gong......

if your not holding you gun, and are able to leave it in a rest and manage to hit the same spot do you think its as good as being able to hold the gun and almost do the same thing?

they seemed to think they were real hot shit, they tried to tell the uncle he could build a suppressor for a 25$ tax stamp, i told them no it was 200$ and they pretty much told me i was full of shit.....this is a little bit of venting, but...damn some people.....

but what i'm trying to say, is would you rather have a high magnification scope and a rest and hit silver dollars at 300 yards, or would you rather have open sights and be able to hit pie plates? which seems better?

  9. i have one of those 14x1 on my polish gun, it works great...cost about ten bucks, a us part, and it works cuts the muzzle jump to next to nothing....

no pressing, screw one off, screw it back on, i can still use any brake i have and or want....

edit to add....while it doesn't have the zig zag cuts it has holes where it would go, and it does its job great...

  10. hey, i guess your talking about the 308 post where you think i'm trying to correct you.

but thats not the case, i just want to op to know the following.....

    1. the conversion barrel will most likely do fine, if he wants to go that way, its thicker walled than the normal 10mm barrel, its the same od as the 45 barrel.

    2. the glock 20 slide has thicker "walls" i dont give a damn about an ounce or so of weight but i might give a damn about a few thouands(or hundreths) difference in thickness

    3. you can run 10mm in a g21 with a barrel conversion because the breechface is wider than it has to be

    4. you cant run .45 in a g20 because the breechface is not wide enough

    5. storm lake would be a cheaper place to get the same barrel rather than lone wolf(lone wolf had storm lake make their barrels at first the sl started making their own)

    6. the metric glocks are the best because they have more thickness to the slide walls

i play with the glocks alot, i dont have my g20 anymore because i sold it to raise money to buy a new colt delta

    yarp...weight aint the issue buddy

  11. its fucked up, i'm not trying to thread jack....but it reminds me of the guy in Laredo, his daughter and her friend went to mexico, disapeared, he started searching found her car in an impound lot, pretty much found out the girls had been given as gifts to a high ranking cartel fella(or it might have been a local boss cop, sorry if i fucked it up) and he ended up getting a hit squad sent after him, they were caught, but they tried to come get him for trying to find his daughter.....(its a real story they play in on one of the ganglands on history)

the border situation is fucked, and the msm does not report it all......

....i belive you buddy, fuck the crimigrants.....

  12. my wifes uncle bought the 22 incher for some reason, and in a semi platform i see the 16 incher as having a "Stiffer" barrel thus being more accurate(scoped)

i think its preference, but i prefer one lighter.....

if you have a "sniper" rifle or a dedicated long range bolt gun, then it would seem better to go with the shorter gun like has been said

plus when you convert the 308, and put ak furniture on it it looks mean, damn mean...but the long barrel monster looks kind of funny.....

doesn't really pull the svd look off with the normal sized gas system...those "novs" have a different setup on em....

niether one of them could touch a good bull barreled bolt gun in terms of accuracy at the "max" range...so why not go for the fun one...

i vote 16" the 22 incher is heavy.....

  13. while not a saiga i built a polish underfolder....

i had a normal stamped reciever and had to do the cutouts myself...not too miuch different than what you will be doing....

the underfolder rear trunion has 3 rivit holes on each side.....the two you have on the saiga and another one a little forward and below the long rivit.

on each side of the reciever you have about a half inch hole that the thing will hinge on

on both sides at 9 o clock and 3 o clock you will have another hole that is about 1/4 inch.

the ejectionport side of the gun has a piece that sits outside of the reciever and locks it open and closed. the non ejection port side has a piece about the same but inside the reciever.

you will have to remove your old trunion, locate the 3rd hole on each side, drill it, then locate the big center hole, and the two smaller holes at 9 and 3 o clock of the big hole....

you will need 4 short rivits and 1 long one. the one long one like i said will be where the long one is on your saiga. the front ones will be like the trunion in your saiga. then a lower pair like the front ones. i used a long rivit and 4 10/32 button head screws grade 8 and tapped the "short rivit" holes.

it can be done, you need rearmer bits, drill bits, a drill press, and when you fianlly get everything drilled and the trunion mounted then you need at least 3 sets of hands, to get everything together, which involes, a large hollow shaft, a small solid shaft, a spring, the pieces i mentioned, a few pins, a button, and a sling loop. it is not impossible.....but it is just as hard if not harder than the side folder. if you need any help feel free to pm me, and i'll try and give you some pictures of whatever you need...

  14. Also when you get a second weigh the G21 slide and the G20 slide next to each other. You will quickly see that there is if any at all no variation in weight, oh yes by the way they use the EXACT same recoil rod.

    Just my two cents........

you are 100% right that they use the same recoil rod......

pull a g20 slide and a g21 slide put them on the scale and watch me call bullshit on you

the g20 slide is heavier because not as much material is milled out of it.....

the conversion can be done, it can be ok, but if you want to fire nuclear 10mm noads then you would be better off with the g20

you will beat up the g21 slide and peen it if your using a 10mm conversion barrel and firing real 10mm......if you just want to shoot some 200gr xtps or something you will be fine

but there is a weight difference between the 21 and 20 slide.....

there also is a difference between the 9mm and .40 slide

the strongest of the glocks falls to the metric callibers 9mm and 10mm

and if anyone thinks i'm making any of this up i can provide pics(if you cant find them yourself)

but i have to call bullshit on g21 and g20 slides being the same..externally yeah, but internally no....

  15. if you want to evenly wear it.......

cycle the hell out of it with nothing in it.....the bolt will remove what it needs to with its rotational movement.....just work the action without anything in it like 100 or so times, then retry your snap cap....

This idea is very workable but the cartridge is what keeps the rear bolt pressing back against the trunnion contact points. Without a cartridge, there is a bit of gap play.

A safe way to work this idea with a real ammo case might be to pull a bullet from a cartridge and dump the powder then handfeed it into the chamber then use valve lapping complound

from an auto parts store between the bolt rear lugs and the trunnion contact points. Then work the bolt rotation back and forth with the empty dummy cartridge pressed into the bolt face.

The lapping compound would eventually polish the lug-trunnion contact points evenly. It might even ensure a nicer tight fit more so than the arsenal provided it reliably cycles ammo

this might even help acuracy a bit too. This is sort of hand lapping a bolt into a perfect fit.

i would agree if it wasn't too tight....since it is already "too" tight it should smooth things out some even with no shell pressing on it...

years ago i built a g kit up and it was hesitant to lock when worked easy....after a while just working the action it smoothed her up good...
