  1. They wont damage your barrel but they will tumble in air destroying accuracy I shot 20 thru mine for the hell of it and u can see where they hit sideways on the target. I was trying all kinds of slugs. No sabots are worth a shit without rifleing.

  2. Congrats on joining the wild world of the Saiga 12. First thing you should know is that most things on this weapon system need a little tweaking to work. Don't be scared by this fact. DON'T PANIC! The fact that most things can then be custom fitted to your weapon allowing you to have it just how you like it. It scares some people off but if you stick with it you can have a weapon that will outperform anything out there. All right now to your problem. Most of the magazines have to be fitted to your gun nothing odd about this I personally like it because I like tight fitting mags. Some manufacturers even include instructions for this like the aforementioned drum from md arms. If you have a dremel it takes just a minute to fit them. Just go slow and if you take to much off build it back up with jb weld. Good luck and remember at this point most problems have been seen before so don't worry were here to help

  3. First thing I did was completely dissasemble the entire gun and inspected all my parts just because I wanted to know how my new weapons system worked. I checked my gas ports and realigned my sight block. I then restored the fcg to the way its supposed to be. Profiled the hammer myself and then polished the bolt bolt carrier and the carrier rails in the reciver. I did this all without even shooting it once. I now put about 400 rounds a week through it with only the occasional problem and that stems from the dirty ammo I shoot. It cycles everything but winchester bulk and it will still try it just not 100 percent. Factory plug and puck.

  4. Out of the four promag mags I have only my original one works right. My gunstore threw it in for free when I bought my s12 and it has been the best mag besides my factory one. The other promag ones are junk. I don't know what is different about this one but it works better then my agp mags for crap ammo.

  5. Hi all just wondering if anyone has worn out a mag yet? I have about 3500 rounds through my original 10round promag and it is starting to get kind of sloppy not only on locking in but feedlips look worn and follower kind of looks beat.I know promag is not the best but it was my first mag so I guess I'm kind of attached to it so I use it more then the others.

  6. I have one of mine next to nightstand right now loaded factory mag with 15 pellet buck and two more mags of ko slugs on nightstand. I found out about the Saiga 12 while in Iraq. I picked up some scruffy looking guys in the middle of nowhere and they all had these crazy looking shotguns. I asked some questions and decided I needed a few. I can't actually think of a weapon I would rather have for home defense. The amount of lead you can bring to bear on a Target is awe inspiring. And I love shock and awe. That's what this thing does best. Let loose with a md20 and nothing will stand against it.

  7. u hit the nail on the head. The more you know the better you will be. My friend is an accountant he's great with numbers useless with any real world skills. He's one of the ones that is tripping out wanting to buy property and cows. He has been trying to get me to teach him stuff. Up until that point I thought some things were common knowledge. Boy was I wrong. I guess we were just raised different. That's what got me wondering about skills.

  8. Yeah maybe the soap thing was a bad example. More like how to fix your own shit. Sometimes I forget people can't even work on their own equipment. Maybe repair their own roof stuff like that. It's like that old 8n tractor that someone keeps limping along. You know it well and most the time fix it yourself to keep going. I know some people who if they had anything happen they would be screwed because they know nothing they need somebody to do everything even fixing a leaky faucet.

  9. Wow we always had to account for everthing. Most also have satellite tracking on their rigs now. You should be able to see everywhere the truck was. Has atf kept you informed so far? All the edits for auto correction retardation

  10. The batf would flag the numbers so a normal gunstore would be out but you could get rid of them at gun shows because of no check. I could see these being plotted on by a small transport company. I used to do logistics and even back then there was a setup where a guy at customs checked things in then told a group where it was going and on which truck. Sometimes the whole truck would go missing. That's why they say don't mark firearms on them

  11. I thought about like a ball n shot combo. a large ball in front with a tail made out of birdshot. When it would impact something the ball would slow down but the shot would still be moving maybe ramping down the ball to be thrown to the sides makin a bigger hole
