Grettings all. New Saiga owner here with a couple of quick questions. My search fu is weak, but I did try first! I took my new 7.62X39 to the range today for just a quick session to see how it felt. I was impressed. Now for question #1! Using the 10 round factory magazine, the bolt does not stay open after the last shot. Is it supposed to stay open using the 10 round factory mag?? Question #2. After doing a lot of lurking and reading, then joining the forum, I think I can do a conversion without too many glitches. What I want to know is, after moving the FCG forward and installing

Hey folks, first post here. I just recently bought a Saiga 7.62X39, and discovered this forum. After reading a lot, I have decided I need to revert(convert) it. I have a friend who said he has an ak47 stock and handguard lying around. I think it came from a Romanian, as the handguard is the pistol grip style, which I know I don't want. Would the stock fit my Saiga if it is indeed a Romanian? I've already figured out all the parts I need to be compliant, just wondering about this stock. Thanks in advance, and this is a great forum!
