  1. I dont believe that anyone sells a G2 double hook modified to fit the Saiga 12 ( you will have to cut an extra groove in the reciever to fit it anyway). So you could just buy that one and follow the threads on here to modify it. Also Gunfun has a link in his signature to modify the double hook to work

I told you the G2 mod needed a sticky.

On second thought, it probably wouldn't do any good.

  2. I dont want to see Beretta go under, but I never cared for their shit anyways.

Robert Blake is an obnoxious prick who has become totally insufferable since that brain dead jury acquitted him of murdering his wife.

I rank him right down there with OJ Simpson and William Shatner. If there is a hell, people like this is why we need it.

I'm more or less OK with Pee-wee Herman though.

  3. That's ok, Tim. I wasn't really putting that out there as something to be argued with, anyway.

In fact, it helps me when everyone else buys on credit, you can get mad deals quickly when everyone else

    has to arrange financing.

    Carry on.

That's good, because I really didn't want to bother with an argument that wouldn't change any minds.

So then you're saying that it is OK to buy ammo on credit? Please make up your mind as I'm easily confused.

BTW, I agree 100% on always paying cash at times, like when procuring hookers. There are just some things you don't want to be traceable.

Especially true if your eyes are bad and you accidentally get a tranny!

Uh, generally your sense of touch will help out if your eyesight lets you down. Or so I've heard, leastwise.

  4. Well you can add double star to the list of arms makers thats regulating their sales to LE/GOV.

We need all of them to stand together to give them a big, hearty FUCK YOU.

Nice find Captain, and it does my heart good.

However CynicalTim (sorta like Evil Captain Kirk) believes this may actually be a self serving act on the part of the companies involved.

We keep hearing about how there are never enough police around. Given that theorem, wouldn't it be a far better business strategy to solicit sales from the public (otherwise known as civilians to the civilian police force, who apparently must consider themselves at least paramilitary) rather than relying on the shrinking minority of LEOs to sustain their profits? Can I have a 'DUH!'?

The companies so inclined to be on the right side may also realize not all cops are good cops. As long as they are allowed to play with their favorite toys a lot of them are disinclined to allow their employers the same 2nd amendment rights they so lust after. Then again, I suppose every town above 1000 in population does indeed need a bonafide SWAT team at the ready just in case the meter maid or dog catcher gets sick. Regardless, selling 10,000 weapons at or near retail beats the hell out of moving 500 at LEO discounts.

So then, are they standing up for the little guy or instead, their own profit margin? That's really irrelevant to me as long as they have the intestinal fortitude to tell all the overbearing government agencies they have to play by the same rules as us mere civilians.

    CyniTim out.

  5. No, it's not ok.

One of the problems with this country is people borrow money to pay for everything. Guns, Appliances, Vehicles, Houses, Education,

Clothes, Toys, Tools. One good piece of advice from my old man is: "Never borrow money to pay for something that won't appreciate."

There are two things in this life that appreciate, and I'm not so sure about the second one anymore: Education, and Real Estate.

Even in today's liberal gay orgy of gun control laws, any gun that you buy new will not be able to be sold by you for that price as long

as it is still available. As soon as a new gun gets sold, it drops to 100% value, not new. If you borrowed money to buy it, then had to get

money when that loan got called, you can't get the money out of it you need.

While I am aware that there is possibility to buy new stuff when you think it will be discontinued, that's a form of a "get rich quick" scheme,

and they usually fail, or are a gamble at best. I don't make money by gambling, your mileage may vary.

You can usually sell property for more than what you paid for it, with the exception of the bust of the housing bubble, and your education

will open new doors to better money. Anything else, I pay cash.

Uh, all I was doing was picking on Matthew a little while at the same time commenting on the current ridiculously high ammo prices. My sense of humor is a touch bent and I can't seem to straighten it.

I could argue with your opinions a bit too, but won't.

BTW, I agree 100% on always paying cash at times, like when procuring hookers. There are just some things you don't want to be traceable.

  6. Ive always liked Midway, and Larry and his workers have always took care of whatever problems I have had over the years. I'll continue to do business with them for as long as I can.

And Tim, for the price increase over shipping, Id say they base it off of the weight of the package. Thats the only thing I can get from it.

I know what you're saying Capn, but it does irk me at times. Shipping can be a substantial part of your cost, so I do try to watch it also. As an example, I ordered two gun bags from them and they shipped separately (with double shipping rate) even though both would have fit in one box. Twice as much cardboard to recycle and twice the shipping. It just seems to me that all companies, not just Midway, could be a little more efficient especially in these trying times.

  7. Dear Valued Customer, In the spring of ‘77, I left the Air Force and moved to Columbia, MO to pursue my dream of running a gun shop. You see, I’d always loved the outdoors; especially shooting and hunting. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve shooting and hunting with my dad and brothers. Then, as an adult, some of my greatest joys have come while shooting and hunting with my wife, my kids, my friends and now my grandkids. I love this industry, I love our way of life and I love serving Customers. Now, our way of life is being challenged like never before and our Customers are responding with a flood of orders.

In the 35 years I’ve been in business, I’ve never seen anything like this. We’re monitoring the political environment, our industry’s capabilities and our business on a daily basis and making policy and process changes to better serve Customers. But please understand, while we’re still able to get most orders out the same day they’re placed, you may experience longer than normal wait times on the phone or when you chat with us on the web. Also, it’s taking us a few extra days to respond to emails. Finally, we’re out of a bunch of products I know you want which breaks my heart. And when we do get them in, they rarely spend the night in the building because they’re ordered almost immediately.

We’re tirelessly working to get products in the door and out to Customers as fast as we can. But, until supply catches up with demand, we’re having to limit quantities and backorders on certain products. One thing we haven’t done is change our prices because of this surge in demand. Prices do change from time to time as they always have, but we’d never change prices because of something like this. Our pricing strategy is one of the reasons we’ve put quantity limits on certain products. We’ve all seen certain products selling two or three times higher than normal, and MidwayUSA doesn’t want to enable that type of activity. Also, we want to serve as many Customers as possible when we receive high-demand products.

If it’s any consolation, none of our Employees can order products with quantity limits (myself included). We’ve all agreed to put Customers first. And that’s the way it’ll always be at MidwayUSA. As always, everything we do is intended to be in the best interest of our Customers and we’re eternally grateful for your patience and loyalty.

  8. Thing is, this is Obama's invention. He used it to get stupid Republicans to agree to more spending because of this automatic reduction in the future. That is, unless it was cancelled to allow even more spending. Being a popularly elected communist, he assumed it would be scrapped.

Well the future is now and guess what? Obama is blaming the stupid Republicans with the usual BS. You know, lost military jobs, National Park shutdowns, air traffic control layoffs, starving children, etc. The same crap that is used every time someone even mentions attempting to reign in the suicidal spending binge this country is on.

My heart hurts for what is left of this country.
