  1. Hello

My two-car woodshop is constantly fluid, giong from full-honk furniture and cabinetmaking facility, to totally overcrowded high-performance twin-cylinder motorcycle modification shop, to amateur "hack" gunbuilder/modifier (I don't even claim "smith" by any stretch....) and lately, a reloader's nest that might be OSHA's worst nightmare!

Hasn't seen a car in decades. That's what driveways are for, and that's why cars have tops on 'em. That's what I tell mah' sweetie, anyway...

I'm also a sporting dog rescuer/rehab'er, haven't had much time for that lately, but I do what I can.

Woofer, you have the RPK w/barrel mount on that sidecar? Sweet ride, man!

    Respectfully posted,

No....don't have the machine gun mount. I guess this is the civilian version. Although I do know where to get one if I wanted to install a mount.

    Hello

I know we all like rifles & guns but what else do you all do for fun?

Well I work on old Coke machines. Nothing like pulling a cold beer from a coke machine.

So show & tell us about other items that you do.

Still an on going project is my Ukrainian/Russian Dnepr MT-16 motorcycle and sidecar. When the weather is warmer I use it daily to ride to work. It's fully licensed and a bit unusual for a motorcycle. For instance the transmission has a reverse gear. The sidecar wheel is shaft driven through a differential from the gearbox on the rear motorcycle wheel. And the spare tire on the back will fit any of the three wheels on the machine. It also rides like a rooskie tractor.

Took about a year to build....another two years of various upgrades to make it a reliable runner. It's a great machine and a good conversation starter.

  3. This prototype doesn't look real pretty....but it's a prototype and it's not supposed to look pretty. I saw your video of you cycling the shells through the Saiga...it appeared to be very reliable with no sign of jamming. I think you will have a good product when it gets into production. Thank you for keeping us informed

  4. I had one of those little Subaru mini vans too when was stationed on Okinawa. Oil in one tank and gas in the other. You could get six people in that thing if you needed to. I'd buy one again if they were legal here.

I have owned a few that I wish I still had!

    1947 Dodge powerwagon-(stolen)

1967 Dodge swept side 1/2 ton longbed (I put a 331ci HEMI in that one with a 4 speed from a 440 roadrunner.) TOTAL blast to drive!

The old elephant is now sleeping under my workbench.

Had a couple 360 Subaru's a van and a sedan. Sedan got 66 mpg, van got 40. Wiiiinnnnngggg ding ding ding Wiiiinnnnnggggg ding ding!

    They had 2 cycle 2 clylinder 356cc engines .

Had a '70 Sebring Sattelite plus- looks exactly like the Challenger, but is "intermediate" not "compact".

Had a bunch more , but those are the one's I wish I had back.

  5. This is my ride when the weather permits. It's a Ukrainian Dnepr motorcycle. I won't go into all of the details of the motorcycle...info is on the net if you are interested. I really enjoy riding it and it's a great way to meet people. Hmmm...something about rooskie stuff...shotguns...motorcycles that are fasinating to me. I ride the Dnepr almost everyday (without the trailer). It runs great and a joy to ride.

  6. I think Browning made a 22 rifle called a T-Bolt that was a straight pull bolt as well.

Alright you bastards. I told myself "no more guns till after I'm employed (June'ish)." But after looking at all the K31 threads here and elsewhere, I caved.

Called up my FFL this evening to let him know about the transfer, and I'm calling bright and early Monday morning to order the rifle.

    Bah...

  7. Just spoke to someone at FBMG and they told me about the situation. Thank you for your patience and commitment to your customers. You could have just thrown up your hands and said, "fu*k it" I'm not going to deal with it. Instead you actually took the lead, from what I can see, found the problem and worked out a good solution. Thank you, to you and Tromix!!

  8. This is pretty typical for Rooskie stuff. I have a Dnepr motorcycle and sidecar rig, made in Ukraine. Their attention to detail is lacking in their motorcycles as well. But they build a very strong tractor like machine. You just have to expect to fix some stuff right from the factory.

Can I ask you how you got your bike into the US? I would like to get my hands on one of these:

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Buy one from Lloyd at RAM (Russian American Motorcycles). He is the only one allowed by the DOT to sell a completed Dnepr, DOT approved, with a VIN number in the U.S. Or you can get a bunch of new and used parts from Yuri at Dneprworld, and put one together yourself. Check out the dneprheads forum at yahoo for lots more good info.

  10. With new Saiga owners coming soon, I expect that this forum could grow incredibly over the next couple of months. New owners wanting to know how to do coversions. Simple basics. I think that some of us are going to be very busy helping them out. Cobra is going to be one busy dude!

I'm a newbee...Just purchased a 12 from FBMG and having Tony do the conversion and adding a few other goodies. Iv'e done a bunch of reading on this forum and I believe one can learn quite a lot and have many questions answered if they dig a bit on this website. Looking forward to trying out my "ultimate lead delivery system!"
