  1. I'm selling my Izhmash Saiga .308 to help finance a target bolt rifle. This wood furniture Saiga was manufactured in May of 2000 and has 40 rounds through it. It is in 100% condition and comes with two 8 round magazines, an unused 6x36 Russian scope with amber filter and scope pouch, an unused Kalinka 1" centered scope mount, a newly installed and unfired-on recoil buffer(black), a new sling, the manual and parts schematic page. It also has the bolt hold open feature. PM me for details and photos. Asking $500 shipped to your FFL with signed copy.
  2. RobDennis, Thanks for that post. It puts things in a clearer perspective for me. Are you in the north or south part of Cali? I'm on the San Fran peninsula, just south of Bejing.
  3. Guys, Thanks for responding. GOB, having a gun 1200 miles away wouldn't serve me in any way and would just be a money alligator. I TRULY understand and agree with your "FUCK the PRK" mindset as I share it with you. As far as moving, I've been seriously considering the Boise, Idaho area. I have a friend who moved there last June and loves it. I suppose I could just hang on to the Saiga with the idea of being able to use it in another location, but taking it to a range to practice in the meantime would more than likely make me uneasy. All it would take is a nosy do-gooder to ruin m
  4. I bought my S .308 in 2000 while I lived in Oregon, took it out and ran 20 rounds through it. Moved back to PRK shortly thereafter and ran another 20 through it a couple of years ago. I discovered last night while reading that the thing is illegal here in the Soviet...er Kalifornia. Now I'm not sure I need the possible hassle/felony for having an "assault" hunting rifle. The annoying thing is I was just getting interested in the thing, I oredered a sling and a recoil buffer a couple of nights ago. Anyway it's wood in perfect condition with a 6X36 Russian scope with a dead battery.
  5. Thanks for the input guys. I ordered an sks sling last night and it should be here in a few days. Wolverine, yoursling sounds good. If I find the sks uncomfortable I'll definately go your route.
  6. grizzlybigbore, Thanks very much! I've been googling for Saiga slings, etc. with ZERO success. Much obliged sir!
  7. Great forum! I might be obtuse but I'm having difficulty finding a sling to fit the smallish swivels for my S 308. What are you guys using, and how do I get a good one? Thanks much!
