You can but it's not ideal. Just slightly move the stock and it's no big deal no need to unfold completely or anything like that. I love this stock it feels great, looks great, and operates the way you would expect both folded and locked out.

I'm thinking about acquiring this optic myself. You've had some time with it, do you still feel it's a good optic? I was looking for open red dot and this optic seems to fit the bill. Have you tried any other mounts other than the bp-02 like the ultimak?

Got mine in the mail and installed it on my bulgy build in no time! Great stock locks tightly, no wobble and much better cheek weld than the standard stock. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
