haha, True.
-
haha. the little bit it may bend I think wouldnt be noticeable. How could you tell if its bent, guessing use a level
-
So you dont think the barrel could bend from being dropper on the muzzle end or thrown? Reason Im wondering is because this thing is pretty thin.
-
Haha I remember seeing that video, but I forgot it was with S12s.

I was just thinking.. Are these things strong? Seems like the only issues people are having ( think early 2001 models ) are with the pistons. Anyone have issues with the trunnion? What about receivers cracking? Are the barrels strong? Can they withstand drops on the muzzle end? Can they bend?

Co-witness you mean?

Yes he is from NY and I have an FFL here in MD that will do it from him. he doesnt have to send his gun to an FFL and get it shipped to MY FFL. He can send it on his own. More to it then that ( paperwork, DL etc )

haha thanks man.
is there any "problem" areas with the PSLs I should have him photograph ? To check for issues
-
thanks man
its a sporter with rhineland wood ( the svd style )and extramag and a scope for 600 shipped. Not bad IMO .
It hasa NoDak receiver right? Arent they sometimes better than romanian ones? Idont care much for matching numbers.
here are the pictures of the gun

What do you think?

I thought that the 2.5 isnt bad for a psl..
"FWIW, the minimum acceptable accuracy for an SVD (according to the Russian 1PN34 manual) is 3 out of 4 shots in an 8cm circle at 100 meters. 8cm is about 3 1/8 inches. So 3 out of 4 in a 3 inch circle at 100 yards would be the minimum acceptable accuracy for a PSL. the manual says turn it in for repair if it won't do that." -GunboardsSo that would make that guns accuracy at a 2.5" circle at 100yds. right?'"
He was saying that he can get 2.5 moa with crap ammo, silver tip is 2 moa and and the other good stuff wolf gold and 7n1 he never shot.
-
The gun looks good to go and so does the stuff Ive read about it. I think I may go with the sporter, he is saying its a 2-2,5 MOA gun depending on ammo. But he hasnt shot any of the good stuf yet neither..
edit: Where is said PSL forum?
-
Well what's the difference in a psl and a psl sporter?
-
Hey guys I just found a cai psl sporter kit... what's that? He said it is a 2.5 moa in average, Nd it comes with rhinhardt wood and an IOR scope.... what kind of scope is that.
-
What do you guys think of tgi's psl? Atlantic has them for 700..
-
Well that psll was sold. So now I'm looking again. If anyone comes across one, let me know please.
-
haha yeah
ok guys well I had someone contact me on a PSL with 10 mags, all the accessories and a hard case for 700 shipped.
Or I can get a kit locally for 550 with a nodak receiver ( unsure if its a flat or bent ) unsure if it comes with the scope.
If I got he parts kit route, Im going to try and get it a tad lower... I also have someone locally that has built AKs before, and he is going to help me without charge!!!
I'd go for the package deal. Mags for them arnt cheap. I think centerfire had them 4/$80 or something like that. Any chance it was bigSal?
If you buy one change out the fcg with one from red star. A world of differance.
Good deal man. thanks.. Long story short, someone was supposed to buy it never sent money. So he contacted me yesterday. I hope I get it. Its a true romanian built one too. He said it may have a crack on the hangard, but thats just wood, so who cares.

run those on setting one, like was said.
im sure they are still good....even if they arent, the gun will run them anyway...
haha cool man, Mine arent even corroded

1. use this conversion kit, as it will put you into 922r compliant ( http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-439/SAIGA-12-CONVERSION-KIT/Detail ) and CSS is a great shipper. You have to grind, grill etc if you want a pistol grip and or convert it. Its not hard..
2. you need more, see answer #1 above.
3. There are DIYs on how to mod your trigger, polish your bolt, mod the carrier etc.
There are tons of things on here, just do a search and check the stickied stuff.

What Im wondering is what the FPS is on it, but being that is a high brass shell... Im guessing treat it like slugs etc. On the lowest gas setting.
-
I found some old Remington 12ga shells. Im guessing they are still good. They are Remington Express Power Piston #6. Near the primer they say Remington 12GA Peters. They are high brass, so Im guessing this is around 1400fps or so? I cant find anything on them.
Also they are a green hull.
