  1. I have multiple drums and I believe I filed off to much because the drum falls out of the gun when I fire. I can hear it lock into place but when I fire the sum bitch falls on the ground. Did I file off to much? Can it be fixed or do I have a paper weight? Tks Jackal

Check this guy out, seen this last night. Maybe it will help. I have not tried it but I would before the paper weight plan. LoL

  2. I have the Saw tapco grip and what I did was stippled the inner ridges only. Pretty nice feeling, but still a tad rough. I dont see why the "high" stuff wont wear off in due time though

Can we see a pic? Sounds interesting...

  3. i did a group buy on a local forum for the konus konuspot80. Its great and is very clear. IMO better than most at the price range..

Thanks for the info but what exactly is "the price range"?

I was getting mine for 165 shipped without using ebay but for people that wanted to use ebay 175 shipped. I still have her email and all so if youare interested I can give it to you. She works for Konus I believe. None the less she gave me a great deal.

  4. yeah i did watch it, look up autoplug here. from what Ive read, haters gonna hate. At least thats is what Im guessing. Im guessing it could be other people spreading misinformation? And well at first no I not watch the video. I was on my cell, but Idid now.

  5. From reading around it looks like the plug is meant for high brass and not cheap shit. So if you plan on running low brass, run the MDarms plug. I'd like to get an autoplug, but it seems like its just not worth it for us cheap guys out there.

  6. I still am amazed that nobody has done a damned thing about the ages old problem of the charging handles poking through the side of the box on about every Saiga that gets shipped individually. How F'n hard would it be to put some extra cardboard or foam reinforcement right there before closing up the box and trusting it to the mail monkeys? Any AK that I've ever sold was shipped with either the bolt carrier removed and padded separately, or the thing supported there by a block of foam, or rolled up cardboard tube to keep it from poking through the box the first time somebody threw it down or put something else on top of it. Instead, most of em get delivered with a hole in the box and a scratched up charging handle. You're not even supposed to ship a firearm in the US mail, with anything written on the box alluding to a gun being inside...much less have friggin parts of it sticking out of the box. IMO they should also have an exterior box without all the IZZY writing on the outside.

    Rant off...

    Thats too easy haha

They all come with a hole in the box. If you get a Saiga that doesn't have a hole in the box, then it's probably defective and you should send it back. Sounds like you got a good one.

    Good to know :zorro:

The reason there is no label on the box is likely that it was wrapped in brown paper for shipping. The shipping label is in the trash can of your local dealer.

It would seem that they could make a cardboard cap for the charging handle and wrap it with stretch film. But every AK action firearm I've ever bought has the handle sticking through the box and paint scuffed off.

The grit could be some sort of VCI product.

    Wouldnt that make sense?

MrOneEyedBoh - the very important reason that good folks tell you to shoot it FIRST is that you may uncover a problem that is not easily remedied: i.e. too few ports which cause the weapon to not cycle. That is covered under warranty UNLESS you have altered the weapon. Capisci?

I pulled the plug and I have three visible holes canted towards the action of the gun. Sounds about right, right?

  7. Not sure if this should be here, but its relevant to the S12s. Anyway, Not going to say who the retailer is until he answers my emails ( been two days ) . I received the gun yesterday in this condition. I dont know if this is normal stuff that can happen while shipping them, is the finish THAT weak? I was just kind of surprised that it came to me like this. There was a grit all over the gun and all over the paper packaging. And you can see where the CH went through the box. Now Im not sure how they shipped it, but I didnt see any labels on the box.
