  1. :lolol: I'm rewatching SG-1 right now and happened to pause the screen on that shot. Season 8, episode 'Zero Hour.' Love that episode!

Unfortunately no S12's in the series- not that I've caught anyway. USAS-12's and SPAZ-12's out the wazoo. The Russian teams always had some fun-looking toys with them. I remember one episode (must be later in 8 or 9) where I could've sworn I saw a case full of MD-20's but no Saigas... Must have been for the USAS-12 (didn't know they had drums for those?)

  2. After a MONTH of waiting on my usual guy, I got fed up. When I'd finally had enough of the waiting game, I went over to ask him what the hold-up was. Only to have him disappear for a week...

I hated doing it, but I gave up and went to a bigger shop. Walked in, browsed for 30 seconds, paid an extra $100 over what my guy quoted me, and walked out with the exact gun I wanted when I wanted it. Kinda sucked the fun out of it, but now it's mine!

Disassembled, deburred, removed factory oil, polished engagement surfaces, replaced hammer & trigger rebound springs (10 & 8lb, respectively) with WC spring kit, relubed, reassembled, ran ~200 rounds through it, and got my mind blown. Tack driver!

Picked up a Bianchi 'Black Widow' holster for now 'till I decide on a better one. Although somehow, even though it dwarfs my 1911's

  3. I've got one on a 5.45 and I love it. It took hours of fitting but I think it was worth it. I won't be doing another one because it was truly a PITA. I bought a replacement gas tube, lower HG retainer, and retaining springs from CSS and the HG's fit fine, but the grip was not compatible with the CSS billet TG that I used and the stock was a nightmare to seat. I ended up making a urethane shim in order to maintain enough pressure on the mounting screws (reused the OEM screws) to keep the stock from vibrating back out.

All in all, it's a nice set but maybe more hassle than some people want. Love the Russian Red though. Looks great!

  4. Ooh.. Scope- that's good thinking!

Besides that or mags & ammo, staying close to the $100 mark, I'm thinking:

    Streamlight TLR-1

    A good bipod

A good, lined holster (that lining usually adds just enough to the cost to keep me from deciding on one)

Possibly some fancy grips for a handgun?

    Flash hider or compensator

    High-end cleaning rod/rods

Try out some DRT ammo if they've got it? Ordinarily way too expensive to just "try it out," maybe not so bad with a giftcard..!

Or buy Dancing Bear a birthday present... Do they carry strippers?

  5. That's a freaking steal! They look pretty bad-ass.

    Thanks man!

Well I'm heading out to the post office to drop these packages off. I forgot to mention that I am extremely fucking lazy, so I filled out the return addresses the same way I sign everything at work:

This also ensures that none of you guys can pay me for these. :smoke:

    Enjoy!

ETA: Apparently the post office requires a return address for parcels over 1/4" thick.. I didn't realize that. :-/ So my address is on there, but blurry as hell. (junky-ass sharpie)

Most of you should receive these by Tuesday, according to the chick who processed them. So here we go! Everybody have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day and get out and do some fishin' next week!

Looks like the bonus lure is going to Chile, although you technically all lost. :P

"Closest without going over" and nobody guessed under! I sell my lures for $1.50/ea. I figured that low of a cost would throw you guys a curveball. :)

I think I figured out one time that IF -huge if- I were to sell an entire run (200-300 lures,) I would make $0.02/hr. But hey, it's just a hobby. And the enthusiastic responses I've gotten from you guys on this giveaway makes it worthwhile.

Unless I hear back from the last two of you (still need addresses), 8 of the 10 packages will ship tomorrow.

The smallest envelopes I could get from the post office were friggin' huge though, so don't be surprised if I throw in some extra goodies to validate the shipping cost. :)

  7. I'll buy a set of USA made lures from you! Damn Mepps and Panthers are made in China now. Disgusting.

Would like to try them out here in the rivers and lakes of NW Montana.

    Thanks!

I'd love to be able to sell some, but I'm pretty sure this thread would be considered "advertising." I'd hate to violate forum rules...

If you can clear it with a mod, I'm all for it!

ETA: Yeah, Mepps spinners piss me off. In my honest, if not humble, :) opinion mine are of higher quality and are not made by some Chinese kid in a sweat shop...

  8. Thats some nice craftsmen ship there Jimmy. I used to make my own lures when I was a kid (with mixed results) not as nice as the ones you make. You should post some piccs of them outside the bags!

If I managed to claim the last set... I'll post pics of them out of the bag, with some fish hanging off'em too boot 032.gif

Please do!! And yup, Chile got the last one.

I'll post more pics tonight while I address everything.

    Bonus round:

One extra lure to whomever can guess how much I sell them for! (Price Is Right rules)

    Let the madness begin!!!
