  1. 466,275 of us in Indiana can't be wrong. LTCH applications have gone up by 17,000 in the last year. I've carried everywhere I've gone for the last 6 years and wouldn't have it any other way. People have tried to argue, "You don't need to carry a gun. Do you realize how remote the chances are that you would ever need it?" My rebuttal: Want to go swimming with sharks? How about skydiving? Stand in the open during a thunderstorm? Build a house on a volcano? The odds are so remote that anything bad would happen, you'd be completely safe! Oh, not as sure about those things? Suddenly placing y
  2. PSA upper receiver, PSA LPK & BCG, Stag lower. $747 total during this madness. Next thing I'm going to buy is range access in about an hour. Laters!
  3. I know the rumor was that a Benelli rep fired a S12 at a range, just screwing around, and accidentally beat the Benelli record on camera; subsequently costing himself his job. As far as substantiated fact goes, I couldn't tell you. Google kicked out waaaaaay too many results for me to find facts over opinions.
  4. This is on my 5.45, but it's a 1/2-28 AR brake. It's the DPMS "Miculek" style brake. I thought about going a little higher-end, but this works well for me and looks great IMO.
  5. I had the same issues with HP's in my Springfield. Winchester PDX-1's would not chamber reliably. I switched over to Federal Hydroshocks since they have a little tighter HP to them. Those worked fine for awhile, but then I discovered CMC mags and Hornady Critical Defense. Zero issues since. The Rugers look like they're pretty good quality. Good find! Definitely invest in some new mags for HP's. I still have all of my old mags but they have become "range only."
  6. I had a friend like this. He wasn't a drug addict, but he sure loved to party... Long story short, my best friend in the world (who was going to be my best man) waited a whole two days after my fiance left me before he confessed his "undying love" to her. He bad-mouthed me to her, lied his ass off, and manipulated the situation to drive us apart. Like you, I was so furious that I didn't know what to say. I have very few people in my life that I consider friends and he was like a brother to me. I told him off and avoided him for two years. Karma caught up with him. His fiance had left him only
  7. The other guys. I was the cheapskate of the bunch. As a matter of fact, I was the only one who didn't have any tax stamp toys. I need a better-paying job.
  8. Dude... Stop buying gun stuff for like, 1 week, and get a "new" ebay computer already! I've been busy playing with tractors and doing summer time home owner type crap. I've also come to the realization that my means are limited, and I should sit on the ammo and firearms I have for awhile. Blowing off $500 of ammo just isn't in the cards for me and I know if I showed up that's what would happen! Precisely why I got into reloading. I shot for 4 hours straight, birdshot and reloads only. Cost me maybe $50. Also bought 500 plated .40 bullets at the range office, so I practically replaced my
  9. ^This. I carried for three years on an empty chamber until I felt comfortable with Condition 1 carry. I thought it was a reckless practice until I realized that if a situation occurs where I must draw, it would be highly unlikely that I would have the time to rack one in.That said, I do not recommend it for everyone. First time gun owners are almost certainly better off not carrying one in the pipe. Once a person has the experience and is comfortable (and safety-minded), I see no problem with it. Just my $.02
  10. You will never regret that trade! I'm heading to the range in a bit and I'll be firing mine. Without a doubt, it's the nicest handgun I own. I thought all 1911 were the same except for how they were customized. I had alot work don on my springfield. The weight and balance are nicer. It is nice to fire. almost lost it to my wife she likes it to. You can certainly customize one to give you a similar feel, but this has been a rare thing for me: Feels and works great right out of the box. The only thing I changed was adding a Wilson extended slide release due to my girlishly small hands.

  12. Hopefully not too busy to join us tomorrow..! Rayne? He says he doesn't even know. He's guessing it has something to do with the stuff he posted in the random picture thread.
  13. Amen, brother. Been down that road.. Twice. Well it turns out that Hillside is open afterall but only from 12-4. I'll be there with a handful of guys from INS and possibly. A coworker or two. Come on out and join the fun!
