Not to get off topic, but I'm a Christian, love God, accepted Jesus as my savior. I make mistakes, and royally screw up many times. I'm human. I take communion. It's just juice and a cracker, bread, whatever. Sometimes it's a can of pop and a candy bar. It was never intended to literally be the blood and flesh of Jesus, nor does it turn into those things in my stomach. But it represents His death for my sins...because I'm human. That's my choice though.

However, I witnessed those types of individuals that would agree with him are first to point out Christians did 'barbaric, very terrorist-esq things' during the crusades. Btw I don't believe the crusades were terrible acts of barbarism on innocents, I'm just pointing out those who do are hypocritical in their views if they agree ISIS is not Muslim.

It is what it is. Those in Tampa have been asked to build teams by the administration, and well they can't because of a lack of budgeting.
Look this stuff isn't some top secret classified shit, they even write about it in the Early Bird, Army/Navy Times, SOFREP etc. I'm just saying when you read "bolstering special forces" or "a chance to switch MOS and earn your Ranger scrolls!" in any papers/military media, it's because of the administration's push for it. I have no idea of your background or even if you served in any capacity, but that's not exactly earth shattering news that should so hastily be deemed BS. It just may not be known to people who aren't up to date with the current events in the military. I thought I'd share.

Those goat humpers just beheaded another journalist. So through the SOF grapevine I've heard Barry wants to bolster the special warfare communities in all the branches to decapitate the snake while manipulating the Middle East without a real 'presence' there. However there are 2 problems: first is that Barry ol' boy slashed the DoD budget, including spec warfare. Second is, even IF they magically got the funds it takes YEARS to train these modern day Spartans. Barry and his cronies are so far out of touch it's not even funny.

I saw the Saratoga up at OCS in Newport, RI. It's a shame they couldn't pull the funds to make it a museum, I think she has already began to be scrapped or will be in the near future

Yeah she was a rusted, paint stripped shell of her former self. Anybody want to know why the funds were cut?? I'll give you a hint: sequestration.
Some in office felt social programs were in need of gov't money more than DOD, and the Saratoga restoration was one of the first funds axed. I am just happy I got to see her in person.

Not seeing it, for many, detaches the 'realism' of the event. It does something to you to see it. I have talked to many grunts, real grunts who went to hell and back, and they have ALL agreed that the attitudes of the average Americans can only be influenced by seeing the reality of these terrible situations. There are some, you included, who do not need to see them to get the reality and the gravity of the situations for which they persist.
But without them, the meaning gets lost.

I have friends in the spec warfare community, and they say the story is true-ish. The mission actually happened, but due to Obama's rules of engagement we let the Iraqis know when and where we are going so when we enter their airspace they aren't 'surprised'. Someone within the Iraqi army gave ISIS the heads up, and when our operators entered the buildings, the hostages including Foley weren't there and had been moved.
BTW these guys I got the info from are at a position in their military careers that when they say something like that, it's what happened. -

Poly or aluminum handguard rail?

So, those of you who added a lower rail to your factory handguard, did you add a polymer or aluminum? Since its a poly hg and I'm a cheap bastard, I'm thinking of running a Magpul poly rail but there's a part of my that thinks poly isn't as 'durable' as the aluminum.
Any experiences or input is appreciated!
